Fun fact about Cauterize (the toolbelt for the holosmith heal skill): the tooltip says you cleanse a bunch of condis while applying a bit of burning to yourself. However, if you run the tools traitline (as you do with this build), since toolbelt skills cleanse condis, that burning gets cleansed as it appears so there's no downside to the skill anymore.

Made a pvp build based off of this and it's been sweet!! Some things I learned: 1) In flamethrower set up the combo field first. So instead of 2-3-4, you go 4-2-(3) if you need it. Then swap to forge and press 3-5-4 for the double blast finishers might plus possible projectile finisher burns through the flame field. You can also just set up in flamethrower with 2, and swap forge and 2 through it for flame shield. 2) Pistol ramps the damage up 100% especially with sigil of intelligence for double burns and possible bleeds 3) You can swap to flamethrower while cc'd and press your 5 to get out of some damage

Excited to try this build out! It does look very fun

There's unfortunately a bug with Holo on sword where it doesn't use the proper heat-scaling abilities currently. Might have something to do with characters made after the Weapon Master update, when they added the non-Holo versions of the Sword skills.

I was following Onigri in wvw and he was rocking a beast of a holo build in smallscale and roaming fights. That and your video makes me want to build a holo 😂

For holosmith i honestly got really sick of grenades since it really broke the flow that i wanted with holosmith.. i am completely fine with nades for scrapper or even mechanist.. but i really wanted to be fast and dodge with holosmith!! so this build is perfect :D

Is there a specific reason for not going double or at least a single pistol? For mobility reasons is the only thing I can think of. Also Adrenal Implant in that case and maybe test chemical rounds. For open world or in case of chemical rounds, rocket boots might be fun.

I’ll admit, I prefer og engineer. I just don’t have any interest in the new talents / builds. I’ll stick with my con damage engineer. It’s fun and has plenty of utility.

Challenge ? Engineer But all utilities are tool kits.
