Great perspective, never really thought about it like this. A friend of mine once blew my mind by saying that in any superhero film, the average members of the public, the little people, are supremely important to the story as they develop the world around the main hero/es that they're actually trying to protect. Meaning that without them, the story has no soil to plant its roots in. This is a little similar to that, there's no point in a Gang without people around them to be aghast at them. Glad to see you keeping up the pace on uploads, hope I can match you once this semester's done.

So true. If there aren’t normal people around the superheroes they aren’t “super”, as in superior, to someone, and they aren’t heroes, as there is no one to save. Same with the gang, they can’t be terrible people without someone normal to measure them against, or inflict their terribleness upon.

Thanks! I have some video essays planned very soon. It's hard to narrow down some favourites, but Little Miss Sunshine, The Shawshank Redemption, Jojo Rabbit, The Imitation Game, Gladiator, The Pursuit of Happyness, would be among my favourites :)
