What do you get when you mix the Drummer, the Scripter, and ChatGPT? It’s exactly what we needed. Link to script: drive.google.com/file/d/1vHQ4...

Amazing. I like what you’re doing with this ChatGPT enhancing Logic Pro. I have wondered what specifically the different session loops are. A living loop. Would like a session on that.

Nifty! Such a cool approach, I forgot what you’re trying to do half-way through the video…LOL! Why not just have 2 or 3 tracks of the same designer kit? Main kit pieces on 1, percussion on 2, extras on 3?

Can’t you already do this with the drum machine sampler?
@TheCobyRandal2 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! So this just adds another layer of non-destructive workflow, correct? If you wanted to do this before without the script, you would have to modify the individual midi note velocities etc?

Good sir, do the same for the keys and bass and you are a Logic Hero

I have literally been trying to figure something along this out, but am struggling, I’m trying to have scriptor help a drummer session regions send midi to ez drummer, and the hi hat mappings are very annoying to figure out how to get right! I’ve tried to get chat gpt to give me a script and it hasn’t worked yet when trying to generate and send CC data. Awesome vid

Curious about why the keyboard session player is so meh. If I want to create a 12 bar blues with a nice piano boogie part, there’s nothing doing with the keyboard session player. My only choice is ezkeys1/2.
@skirmantasstankevicius4582 ай бұрын
Why not just once you have a pattern, convert it to midi, set velocity there and put covert back to session player region?

Do you think I could do the same thing but use it to properly convert what logic's drummer is playing to ezdrummer3?!

Yeah, I think so.
@cb71942 ай бұрын
Excellent. But to go further, with this tip, can we then apply automation by parameters?
@LogicProLife2 ай бұрын
I def want to test out the automation idea with this tomorrow. There are a lot of possibilities with it!

Looking forward to seeing that, because if it’s possible, Logic will have become a war machine! 👍🏻

Get a set of V drums, plug it into a kit and just play it yourself. Problem solved. Drummer is such a cool idea in concept, but I got sick of fighting with it. I'll still use the occasional fills from it and then toss it into midi inside of a track I'm playing on .. but other than that. It's a waste of time. It's a toy.
@simonsimon3252 ай бұрын
If only logic would fix the v drum mapping. On most of the kits, the mid and low tom trigger the same mid tom sound because the low tom has only been mapped to F1 instead of F1 and G1. G1 has been wrongly mapped to mid tom. And it's been that way for years. You can fix this in the remapper, but it introduces new problems such as the rims not sounding on some of the toms, and there being no option to remap rim shots in remapper. Only way I've found to properly fix it is to edit the low tom note sent by the drum brain itself, so that it sends F1 instead of G1. It'd be such an easy thing for logic to fix it at their end if they could be arsed.

Or you learn how to use it. At the end all musical instruments can be toys or tools.
@simonsimon3252 ай бұрын
@@peoplelikefrank what are you talking about? It's a mapping error on logic's part, not a user error. Why are you such a smart arse about everything. You sound really full of yourself.
@simonsimon3252 ай бұрын
@@peoplelikefrank It's nothing to do with user error, it's mapped wrong.
@Fiveash-Art2 ай бұрын
@@peoplelikefrank I know how to use it . I've been using it since the day it was released.. I know how to chop the regions to get things MOSTLY there, but you still have to bring it into midi to really control things.. If you're leaving it exactly the way it's spitting things out to you, It probably means you're not a drummer😂.. the fact is it's limited and it's easier to just to play the stuff or even program the midi by hand. Thanks for your condescending assumptions though. The fact is drummer is a good way to get things going when you're writing something new.. but you don't want to keep most of it on a final project. If you're doing that, I'd bet my eyes your music sounds canned.
