This series saved me from the Devil! It actually made me read the Bible, which i started reading this monday! Im so happy to be in Love with Jesus! (Not that way) I've never cried this much from anything, max i cry in any show/movie, i only ever have a 1 time moment, but the Chosen, i broke down when Jesus told Mary (i forgive you) i busted down in tears because i felt like that was me going back after turning my back for so long (8+ years) Praise Jesus Christ of Nazareth! The True God in Human flesh🥰🥰

Amen! I don’t care what anyone says. I enjoy watching this show. It’s the only show I watch (I don’t have a TV) and a lot better than some of the junk I’ve heard is on it. I also read my Holy Bible KJV. 🇨🇦

What he says is. "I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof but only say the word and my servant shall be healed" This is exactly what we say in our Catholic mass, except we say "soul" instead of servant.

Loved the last scene when Jesus and Gaious embrace. Here I saw Jesus's love for all including Gentiles. First glimpse were we see that Salvation was not just for the Jew or Samaritan but also for the rest of humanity. We are grafted in!! Thank You Jesus, for embracing us All, and giving your life for us to be with you !! . We are waiting for your return

I love that scene too! SOOOO much. But for a different reason. It touched my heart to see Jesus' humanity, in need of comfort in the form of an embrace by a man he was about to save for eternity.

⁠⁠⁠@@bayarea3850 Faith is absolutely not “blind trust”. Blind faith is worthless faith. And to blindly follow *any* path *”just because”* is utter and shameful foolishness. Unless their faith is placed in solid evidence that Jesus Christ is reliable, they’re words are empty. But those who have been convinced of the *evidence* that Jesus Christ is Lord-they have received the gift of the Spirit of Wisdom, Who light their steps like a lamp, so that they may NOT follow in darkness and fall from the path. That kind of faith IS the direct link to God! For crying out loud, *the centurion knew this!* Faith is *not* “blind.” It is *trust* built on *evidence.*

One thing I would mention that the centurion says, which is also a huge thing is: “Lord, I am not worthy for you to enter under my roof”. The humility this man shows is such an awesome example for all of us. And the faith Jesus was talking about is that the centurion truly believed from the depths of his soul that Jesus can do anything. He really trusted Him and surrendered this sorrowful issue to Jesus truly believing that He can heal his son. When I think about this, I have to evaluate do I have that same faith, and the answer most of the time is sadly no. If it was, I wouldn’t worry for one second about financial issues or work or family issues or anything like that. I would just blindly surrender it to Jesus and accept whatever happens, because Jesus can do all things. He really can. And it’s easy to say I trust when things are easy and going my way, but when times in life get really tough and stressful and I’m pushed to the max, that’s when my faith is truly tested and I just have to cling to Him.

Well said. You pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. I am praying daily for God's forgiveness and strength. For his guidance and knowledge. I pray to build my relationship w Jesus n to have my faith restored n as strong as it was when I was a child before I let all the noise of the world into my thoughts n my heart. I love Jesus❤ I believe in Jesus. No doubt about that. But I know I'm on the right path and will find that undoubting faith soon. I pray all this on Jesus name. AMEN. BLESS YOU❤

I love this saying. Diring Mass, rigth before we receive our Lord in Holy Communion, we repeat the centurions words " Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed." I love it. We are alsobon our knees when we say these words. I ove that our Catholic Faith expresses these words rigth at the middle of Mass.

The words from the centurion are so beautiful ❤️ and it's so beautiful to remind God of them, and any time when we are praying we can remember his example of faith and glorify God for it! The centurion said this when he did not know God but he believed in the works of Christ. Why would a congregation in a church not be worthy of the presence of the Lord, Jesus has died to leave his holy spirit so that we may have his presence with us, so that he may make his home inside our hearts. He died to make us worthy! He has commanded that we be baptized not just in water but in fire! Without being baptized by the holy spirit we are not saved, this is what he has taught. Read the Bible for yourself and seek baptism in the spirit and be worthy of the Lord under your roof. This is what should be taught in congregation. God bless you and your faith in the Lord.

...and as his Savior and Lord, too! To think, that Jesus Christ cares about, and loves us so much, that his love for us took him through not only various types of torture, such as being mocked, spit on, having at least some of the beard torn from his face, having a Crown of Thorns pushed down on his head, and then he was eventually taken to the whipping post, and was whipped with a whip, that contained bits of metal and glass, and maybe even bone! The beating that he endured at that whipping post was so brutal and fierce, that you could see parts of his lungs and intestinal tract, through at least some of the cuts in his skin! The Bible tells us, that his body was more marred than that of any man. Then, after suffering through all that, he was rejected by the crowd of onlookers, who cried out:"Crucify him, and let his blood be on us"! Then he was forced to carry his Cross. On the way, a man helped him carry that Cross. When they arrived at Golgotha (Which, by interpretation, means "The place of a Skull), Jesus was nailed to the Cross, then dropped into the hole, that had been dug for it. The ensuing thud that the Cross made, when it was dropped into the ground, must've sent a terrific jolt through the body of Jesus. 6 hours later, after having endured all of that, and even after crying out:"Eloi! Eloi! Lama Sacbathani", which, interpreted, asks:"My God! My God! Why hast thou forsaken me "?!? In just a little bit, though, despair turned into triumph, when Jesus cried out:"IT IS FINISHED "!!! Hallelujah to the Precious Lamb of God!!! The redemptive work was complete! Then, Jesus said:"Father, into thy hands I commend my Spirit ". Then he died. However, at the moment of his death, suddenly, a mighty Earthquake hit that place-And, all of a sudden, back at the Temple, the Curtain that separated people from going into The Holy of Holies was torn in two, from top to bottom! Mankind now had DIRECT ACCESS to God!!! Three days and Three nights later, Jesus Christ arose from the dead, and came out of the Tomb, alive forevermore!!! 40 days later, he ascended up into Heaven, where he now abides at the Right Hand of God, and he intercedes for you and me!

Gaius has been watching ever since Matthew left to follow Jesus. I knew he’d become a follower eventually. He really cared for Matthew as if a son, you could just see it in his actions and facial expressions.

The centurion’s words are said by millions of people every day in the Catholic Church during Mass right before communion. Lord I am not worthy that you shall enter under my roof - but only say the word and my soul shall be healed. Anorher important point is that for the disciples…who’d grown up raised to see gentiles as less than…Jesus showed them a preview; when the Gospel would be taken to, and accepted by, the gentiles.

It's just that there are many "teaser" videos out there that are just " fluff" and trying to ride the coattails of The Chosen 's success, or even The Chosen themselves framing advertisement as commentary or feature it's a bit discouraging. It's a work in progress how to coordinate the movie theater life of the show with the free streaming part, hopefully with some improvement each season or developement, but it does seem there is a growing awareness that adjustment is needed. But thanks for your comment- the obvious simplicity made me smile🙂

The Chosen move is a portrayal of what the Bible forbids. People are getting a false Jesus. The 2nd commandment. Making an image representing Jesus that people are trusting as Biblical. I’ve read a lot of comments about the movie and it has become their hope for salvation.

The Santorian was an Isrealite that was a Roman Soldier and living like a gentile. As well as his servant he was also a Isrealite living as a gentile.
