This is the way to make live center points which I think is the most correct. This technique/method is done to center the center point between the two ends for precision

Well yes & no. Under the circumstances yes but most live centers use accurate ball bearings as do machine spindles.

@@pvtimberfaller. Здравствуйте. В шпинделях станков, используются не шариковые, а роликовые двухрядные, да ещё плюс ко всему конусные подшипники!!! А в центрах, по мимо радиальных подшипников, должен стоять и торцевой упорный!!! Учите мат-часть!!!
