I have done a roll into a flip before on takeoff but never went for a flip on takeoff like this, this close to the ground. I saw a guy attach a ghost like shirt and it was pretty funny that it would scream as it would go across the sky. Surprisingly it looked pretty good. lol The first time I heard this in person was while flying in manual my first time and I think I tinkled in my pants a bit.

Hello my friends! There are a few ways to go about finding the right simulator. For the DJI FPV there is the DJI Simulator that will work with the goggles and controller once you purchase. The only problem with this is that the sim only worked on an apple phone my dad had. I use android products so this was a setback. Because I couldn't always use my dad's phone I decided to look for alternatives. I found the app: 5:53 PM You sent play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Egobrook.DroneacrosimulatorFree to be a great way to learn for cheap and though there are not real stix, it was a great way to practice without spending any money. If I remember right, I ended up getting the paid version of this game for like $3 and got more levels. Eventually, I decided to feed into the hype of the simulator liftoff. After learning that I could purchase the game on my ps4, I did just that. If you do purchase on ps4, know this. You cannot use your goggles nor can you use the dji fpv controller. Very disappointing. Because you adjust your controller to not spring back to the center and the play station controllers do spring back, I found it counter productive and preferred the app over liftoff. That being said, I ended up breaking down and picking up a refurbished apple ipad air for about $180 and just devoted all my sim time to the DJI simulator where you can fly the DJI FPV in sim with your goggles and controller if you wish. I personally do not wear the goggles in the sim because it makes me sick and I like lots of sim time. So if you are like me you will find you can fly this drone in manual without goggles on if you have a decent screen to look at. Good luck to you my new friends! :)

I've always been a strong advocate for the DJI FPV. While I do own a single traditional drone, I must admit it hasn't quite won me over. This particular drone does have the DJI FPV system but requires some setup in Betaflight. If your aim is simply to take flight effortlessly, the DJI is the way to go. However, if you're inclined to delve into the intricacies of building and fine-tuning a drone, then the traditional route might be more your style. @@nathang83

@loaizafilmz1109 I flew a total of 35 hours in the simulator before I actually flew in real life. But it's suggested that you spend 50 hours in the sim before going out into the field. Make sure you find a great wide open space and put plenty of distance between you in the ground. You'll be fine.

Not sure you’ll see this but I’ve got one of these drones in my shopping cart online. If it’s been activated what does that mean to the person purchasing? Can they still use?

To legally fly these fast little drones, you need to register with the FAA. If you're buying a pre-owned drone, the previous owner needs to unregister it first. If they don't, and you try to register it, you might get an error and need to contact the FAA for help. While buying used isn't a bad idea, you might face some challenges if the drone is already registered. I have a link in my description to one of the cheapest new DJI drones I found online. They also offer gently used drones, and if any registration issues come up, you can return it. I'm not sure how reliable the seller you're looking at is, but I hope this helps!

Any tips on the lift off in manual mode with the goggles on? I can only do it with the goggles off until the drone is in the air, I don't have issues after that.

My best advice would be to over throttle and get it off the ground. That gives you some room to work with and gather yourself. You want to be careful because the left stick will also move it. If you are worried, keep your finger on the mode switch and flip into normal mode if you get disoriented. If you have access to the simulator I would suggest this for practice. It is nearly 1:1 replica of the real thing.

@@ActionArtsDigital the more throttle worked!!!! I finally get it up in the air with the goggles on, thanks to your excellent advice! But I tried to understand why I didn't get it right before, it turns out little throttle make the props spin with different torques, that's why in this condition the drone tries to flip to one side. But with enough throttle, they all spin with almost similar torque and require very little to guide it up in the air. Thank you so much!

A lot of ppl say build it. I prefer flying over building, so i chose dji. The avata is still quick and the dji fpv is also very fast. If you build it will go even faster. Good luck to you dude

it does not quite fly like a "normal" drone in Normal-Mode. But it does stabilize and hover on its own. The biggest difference is that on a drone specifically for photography has a 3 axes gimble for steady and level shots. The DJI FPV and AVATA are 2 axes. So if it is windy the shot will be tilted if you are staying in place. But if you want to move left to right or vice versa, again, your shot will be tilted since it does not have a 3 axes stabilizing gimble. The DJI FPV and AVATA both have built in software that help keep the shots steady but they are not level. If you are specifically looking for commercial style video and photos the DJI FPV and the DJI AVATA may not be the best choice for you. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I am here to help.

Yes! In manual mode you're in full control and it will go upside down. When you throttle down to nothing the props still spin to help with balance but it basically will free fall.

I hot 100mph 3 days ago with a tail wind. If you're light on the battery, 15-20 mins. Go hard and 6-7 mins. Fairly typical. It's the price tag ppl get bent out of shape over.

Don’t mind the people that say that, it’s a great drone, and it’s even cheaper than most FPV drones if you factor in the other costs. However it isn’t as responsive as a traditional FPV drone and it’s made of plastic.

Yea, it could be faster but not by much. In the usa, faa limits us to 100mph. I and practice safe first and follow the law closely.

I do not have any desire to go faster. Nor do i wish to build my own. I have a traditional drone and i picked it up with a controller and cost nearly as much as the dji fpv. I could likewise ask you why don't you fly a more reliable drone with better video quality? 🤔
