Tip after doing a 30 key stack: take one of the bronze trinkets out of the chest and place it on the dig spot. Chests avoid spawning in the same spot twice, and it also marks the vicinity where other chests are likely to spawn. Also, the more digs you do at once, the faster it will be to find chests.

While doing this, wear the „constant navigator“ guildoutfit and complete the riddle quests (if you dont have the commendation yet) ^^

I did this exploit yesterday and used the keys to stack vaults, it took 3 hours. In total l got 300k+ gold and 6 levels (71 to 77 in distinction 1). My tips if you're gonna use the keys: Get a harpoon rowboat (you can find one in Crook's Hollow however it being a harpoon rowboat is based on rng)because the keys will always lead you to the Kraken's Fall and you can't really get your ship close to harpoon the loots because of the vault's location (except for the sloop, also I haven't tried the brigantine). Do not raise your emissary flag before you're done with the vaults so Reaper 5 ships won't see you on the map. Since the loot you get from the vaults don't count toward your emissary grade until after you get the loots on board you can raise your emissary flag after you're done with the vaults and still get to emissary 5 just by harpooning the loot or docking the rowboat to your ship (6 stacks of vault treasure will be more than enough). The only downside of this is while you're gone to raise the emissary flag someone else might find your loot on the island. Look out for world events. Kraken's Fall is one of the islands that can have a world event on it. Also if you don't want other players attacking your ship at Kraken's Fall you can row your way toward Kraken's Fall and leave your ship at Crooked Masts, if you do this however be careful to not drown in the vault since dying will spawn you back on your ship.

Dive to wild rose tall tale that will take you to sanctuary. Cancel tall tale, vote Captain's treasure vault, go to rapier cay, cancel after digging up the first piece, collect small treasures if they dropped, repeat. The first map piece will always spawn on rapier cay. 100k 15-20min. You can check map pieces and wait for crescent isle as then the vault is there too if you want variety and to do the vault, but the little treasures the skeletons drop are worth more than most the stuff in the vault. I like this one because rapier cay is small so there isn't far to go to dig and you can keep a good 360 view of the ocean in case other ships are coming.

Doing this at Shiver retreat, if the compass points toward old faithful start digging at shiver randomly til you find the chest, if it points anywhere else, revote the voyage. you can farm so so many keys and quick because of island size.

I found an exploit for merchants, dunno if it's covered yet : IF you station your ship right next to a loot patch, be it with captain key or not, and you redo the voyage, the loot patch will respawn, occasionally spawning captain's key. Note that the route must be exactly the same as the one you found the loot patch with.

Attempted this for the first time last night to see how it goes: 10 medley Voyages 2 - wayfinder wasnt pointed at Crooked mast 4 - First map piece collected but dig location was not on Crooked mast 4 - First map piece showed key is located on Crooked mast 2 - Random diging both took under 15 tries 2 - Had the X visable All 4 keys for Krackens Fall 8 Vestige of Powers 2 - X dig maps also On crooked masts (6 Sea Master Chests also collected) ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ *** Follow up 47min after collecting the keys***** FFS i got rared hard.............. As i went to galleons grave and raised my emissary flag, "The World Is Changing"......... Sailed back but no sign of my rowboat........ so my earning in 1hr 45 was ZERO gold!!

you can do this without the keys and just the vestiges at rapier cay, with the captained vault voyage. much faster gold and rep because the island is smaller.

My favourite exploit was the athena shipwreck exploit - the most beautiful exploit in sea of thieves history 😂

I stacked 12 kraken keys looted the vault of all chests including the chest of anichents and a few pots and vails defo worth looting the vault just be careful if using a harpoon row boat and attach to ur ship server cant handle it an kicks ya but just rejoin last session an it will all still be there waiting for ya

I dont know if this is an exploit but i was an island i cant trmember but i found 2 reapers chests and reapers bounty. + with a grog chest and other rare chests all in under an hour
