My guess is he does that maybe for the daily challenge for the 50 time crystals. Get a turbo controller hold down the X(ps4) with tape and leave. Come back a little while later and collect. I've seen people post that they hate kombat League and once they clear all missions they just go in for the 5v daily sets and lose instantly.

The first guy wasn't playing. For a strange reason he blocked his controler or keyboard on the action button and it created a loop where the button continusely selected a new opponent, a character, then after the match a revenge, and a new opponent again. His attack during the match was this blocked button.

Some controllers have got a turbo feature to them. He probably didn't know how to switch it off. When the turbo is on (when allocated to a button) it will spam it like that.
