Nice work! I’m always interested in how this could be done without the metal fastenings. I can see some options… but of course getting it past your local codes and inspectors would be almost impossible.

Exactly- it’s the engineers that demand the hidden steelwork that strengthens the joints.

It's a nice structure, but I do not see where it is so intricate. The only thing i may suggest is to always bevel beams. Rule nr one for fire defence.

😂😂😂 Man, people, the roof structure is completely oversized. I t has twice the dimensions that it needs. Did the structural engineer have tomatoes on his eyes or didn't you have any at all?

Timber sizes are down to the structural engineer I’m afraid. He was nervous on this one!
