You're sad because the remake you bought was the same game from before just with better graphics? Honestly you people need to be taught what a remake means. In Pokémon X&Y, there’s a feature that’s never mentioned in game, which was dubbed as “natural objects”. What this means is that in specific areas around the Kalos region, there exists the chance that with every encounter with a wild Pokémon, you will see an object in the background. (typically there are 3 different types in an area, with just 2 exceptions) These will vary from trees with different berry colors, different kinds of rocks, snow and sand piles, and grass blades. From there, you can actually use a specific move from a small list of moves to attack this object, and you will gain an item from this object! These items vary from berries, evolution stones, various held items, and even the first appearance of the snowball, an item I didn’t realize existed since X&Y! You can find more info about this from Bulbapedia!

You know, I’m kind of okay with certain trainers in the games having Pokémon with impossible movesets, as long as it makes sense for that trainers story. Could be fun. For example, a trainer having a Bagon that learned Fly or a Magikarp with Waterfall.
@AdminAbuse
@AdminAbuse Жыл бұрын
Established lore breaking and retconning does make sense in what way exactly?
@synckar6380
@synckar6380 Жыл бұрын
@@AdminAbuseThere’s no lore or reason behind why Pokémon learn certain moves 80% of the time. Giving a NPC trainer Pokémon an impossible move is honestly a really good chance to establish lore and make the battle unique. I think that a swimmer that taught their pet Pokémon Surf through countless days trying to swim at the beach would be great for example.
@ShadowNinetales
@ShadowNinetales 2 ай бұрын
@@synckar6380 The ability to learn Waterfall would be a cool rare talent for especially gifted Magikarp. But I don't know how a Bagon would physically be able to use Fly. Unless it was some form of telekinetic levitation...? I guess we do already have tailless Pokemon with Iron Tail and armless Pokemon with punching moves...and special events such as Flying Pikachu. They seem to be pretty adaptable critters. It's really more the case that Pokemon's moves make DO sense 80-90% of the time, but when they don't, it's very noticeable. Some of the Pokemon that can learn Surf seem especially random. Tauros, Aggron, Rampardos?? What?

The thing about Shedinja is that its starting moveset will always be the same as the Ninjask it splits from, regardless of if it can learn the moves itself or not. As such, they probably have a special flag on Shedinja so that it won't appear as illegal if it knows any moves Nincada learns.

regarding swords dance this is a common case of learn via pre-evo. shedinja on split always just copies the moved of the nincada, just like the ninjask obviously does. another example of a move that cannot be learned unless by pre-evo is Hydro Pump on the Mudkip line where only Mudkip itself learns the move pretty damn late and the only way to get Hydro pump on the evos is to keep your Mudkip as a Mudkip for that long. Basically the swords dance on shedinja thing is just a special case of pre-evo based moves

Let me think... Uh, in Pokemon Red and Blue there is a SNES in the player character's room, as per the tradition of putting a Nintendo home console inside the player's room. However, in FireRed and LeafGreen they decided to turn it into a NES for some reason. This is made even funnier when you realise that Red and Blue are Super Game Boy enhanced. Similarly, while Sun and Moon have a Wii U, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon swapped it out for a Switch because Nintendo replaced the Wii U with the Driftinator 9000. I knew barely any of the things on this list however.

Using L button in the battlefield to see your moves in gen 5 was common knowledge isn't it? 🤔 I think an NPC told me in BW so that's why I used that feature a lot

Yeah, I thought that was widely known to the point where people tried doing it in Gen 4 and earlier games because it became such 2nd nature (similar to how people forget that Sturdy was updated in Gen 5 to be actually useful)

@@zade3488 and one of those people was me 😂 I did try that in platinum and even the sturdy ability thing, I thought that change was introduced in gen 4, so I went out of my way to catch a sturdy Golem in Heart gold 👁️ it was a horrible error on my part that was exploited in the E4 later on 😐

In HGSS when you dress up as a Team Rocket new recruit before taking on the radio tower, if you speak to other npc's they'll recognize you as a member of Team Rocket and most will criticize you for doing so. B2W2 is the first mention of Bob's Your Uncle, though idk if that's supposed to be a common phrase (never really heard of it before). A trainer nearby Lentimas Town will say it before battling you. The name would later reappear in Sword and Shield as the restaurant you eat at. There's a game (again can't remember which one) where if you click on pokemon merchandise in a department store, the player character mentions that their dad would really like what they're selling. The problem is, you don't have a dad that appears in that game. This confirms that you have a father in more than just the gen 3 games.

I think I've got one. in the gen 4 games, if you find 2 shiny pokemon at the same time in the places it's possible to, the game will crash. forcing you to restart. most don't see it because of the odds, but it's very possible if you do the cute charm glitch

@@korijoe the game crashes because it's pulling two animations at once The bigger the difference in cry length and/or intro animation the lest likely it will crash If the game is able to play both sparkle animations (after some delay sometimes) you'll continue the battle normally That's why there's no crashes when sending out two shiny pokemon of the same species in a trainer battle as the delay between animations is long enough for the game to handle

The shiny sparkle chance is 4095/4096 to be square for wild pokemon not 15/16 Don't know how you got that wrong since all sites say that Also the fire gym has the "normal" sparkle odds as they are classed as static encounters (E.g. dens, legendarys you A press)

Here's a little obscure fact about an obscure fact: Unless I'm remembering wrong, in Gen 6 you can't rub mega Pokémon after a battle, and any other affection bonuses are canceled out during a mega evolutions duration.
