MW3 hands down was the MP7. One of the last SMG's that you unlock and for good reason. It had the range and power of a mid to lower tier assault rifle with the lightness of an SMG. If you silence it, you were virtually unstoppable.

I loved bo2 balancing because every gun had an equal opportunity to kill you. Pistols could compete with smgs, shotguns shutdown smgs, snipers and assault rifles were literally 50/50 at long range, and quickscoping was just a viable playstyle no matter what weapons the enemies were using. That to me is true balance despite the occasional op guns like fal and m8a1

i’d say vector would beat the ripper 9/10 times on ghosts, and the msmc and an-94 had their places in pubs but the m8 was definitely a beast, reload time and the crutch of needing stock and red dot made it harder to work with in pubs than the an or msmc which could be used without a sight. the asm1 was dirty in aw especially if you were good with the new movement in the early times. Also msbs on launch week beats every single gun on this list lmao.

BO4 has to be Maddox or Spitfire for mine. I used the Augur with the Operator mod because of the insane TTK, but it's just not as forgiving in comparison. BO2 the AN-94 was my go to gun, but the recoil can be hard to control. Otherwise the LSAT with the Target Finder shredded and was pretty noob friendly.

Infinite Warfare Jaeger variant of Proteus. Long range 1HKO Shotgun and Sniper Rifle in one gun. That burst shotgun is just silly overpowered, to the point I only used that sniper as a shotgun in some matches. And everyone hated me. Fun. You could also double swap weapons when transforming it from Sniper to Shotgun to skip the animation.

Black Ops 1 Famas was basically their model for all of the assault rifles in 2019's Modern Warfare. Zero recoil with laser gun accuracy and fire rate.

The Brecci is nice for BO3 but I would also say the Lcar dual wield, you fly around leaving bodies in your tracks. You can use the Dingo with quick draw and extended mag. You can just mow everyone down

While the BAL was used a lot in AW, I would say the title belongs to the ASM1. For months on end, everyone was using it (usually the Magnitude variant), it took SHG forever to balance it (while the SN6 languished in UP hell).

Best gun in IW imo was defiitely the OSA. A lot may choose the NV4 or KBAR-32 though. NV4 just wasn't dominate. Unlike the other weapons, they were all the fastest killing or had the highest potential. NV4 was just average at every range. Slowest TTK up close, long TTK at range. Only had the advantage over other weapons statistically at medium range. It was just easy to use with its low recoil, and it was the first gun you had so it was picked up by a lot early. It was definitely great, but just didn't have the dominating potential as the OSA. Was one of the few weapons at launch that had a nuke variant so it was favorited by tryhards early on until other weapons started getting them. The KBAR-32 is definitely the tryhard favorite. Dominated close and medium range. Also one of the few that had a nuke variant early in IW's life cycle. But the OSA just was the KBAR on steroids. Faster fire rate, longer range, higher mag capacity, plus had a stock underbarrel grenade launcher. If it was a classic weapon and was unlocked earlier and not at the last level, definitely would have been seen more. It had a ton of kick, but it was all vertical. Pull down right stick, and you could isnta kill at medium range. I could drop de-ats like nothing with it. Still liked the KBAR-32 more though since it's bullpup. Honorable mention was the pre-nerfed VPR. It will also go down as one of the most broken weapons in CoD history. It was an SMG with a 3-4 shot kill range at 700 something RPM with no recoil, AND it could have a 100 round mag. That one week between when it was buffed and nerfed was VPR warfare. It was the best SMG, AR, and LMG. No weapon could compete it against it except pump shotguns at close quarters and snipers across the map. Couple of other weapons that were insane for short period were the Proteus sniper in hardcore for the first day it came out and the pre-nerfed M.2187 Thunderstruck. The Proteus sniper was a sniper/shotgun hybrid weapon. In sniper mode, it shot 3 pellets and shot 8 in shotgun mode. But they gave the hip fire in sniper mode a unique gimmick of having aimbot. So you could basically always get a hit marker hip firing in sniper mode. But in hardcore where health is 30, each shot would one shot someone, and since it fired 3 pellets, you could hip fire once in hard core and insta-kill 3 players as long as they were on your screen basically lol. The Thunderstruck variant of the M.2187 turned it into a 3 shot burst with a longer range. That gun was stupid lol. You could one burst someone across the map as long as they were on screen. It was terrifying to hear too lol. You would hear someone fire it, and the only counter was to gain as much distance from where he was coming as you could. Another couple honorable mentions are the NV4 Flatline in hardcore and the R3K/R3KT in tactical. Flatline's infinite one shot kill range made it a one shot kill anywhere on the map. No reason to use anything else in hardcore. In core, its fire rate penalty made it less useful. No reason to trade TTK in 90% of gun fights for an advantage in 10% of them. R3K in tactical was also just OP. Tactical was the mode without advanced movement and health adjustments to make it more like MWR. Health was 70, and the R3K with its burst could 2 shot people. Could also 3 shot people anywhere. The 2.1x headshot multiplayer also made it one shot to the head. The R3KT was the R3K's full auto epic variant. In core, its just the Volk with a much shorter 3 shot kill range but with more manageable recoil. But in tactical, it retained the regular R3K's damage basically making it a Volk with one less shot to kill.

I never played Infinite Warfare's MP but the most OP weapon in the campaign is the Eraser. It's an energy sidearm. You hold it sideways for the killshot and it literally erases enemies. Would recommend.

The only thing with the ACR is it lacked all the superior handling characteristics because it was an AR, but specialist makes up for that. So if I’m running specialist I’d say ACR is the best but if not then the MP7 is best in MW3 imo.
