Taker in SvR 2011 with his 98 overall was a BEAST

Honourable mention: Jeff Jarrett at the end of the story mode of TNA iMPACT! The AI difficulty was gradually increased as you went through the mode so Jarrett as the final boss was absurd. He countered everything and had a couple of unblockable moves to boot.

Flanders got god on his side that what makes him hard to beat

Already know that 2k14 taker Undertaker is gonna be on this list.

Defeat the Streak mode was insanely fun. I spent so much time with that mode

I would also add Batista at SvR '08. Great stats, and the move set was just too OP. He had a beastly Lariat and most powerful Spear as simple moves.

That Goldberg front kick was OP as hell, also I remember he had his spear as just a regular move 😂 but that’s what made HCTP so fun

The weight class in 07 was a brilliant idea. I wish they would've expanded on it instead of taking it out because it added a strategy and a challenge to every match. I couldn't bear to see how stupid it was seeing Chavo Guerrero lift Khali with 1 hand in 09 and the rest of the games afterwards. Not to mention, it makes all of the matches feel the same... I don't understand how people were happy once it was gone

Kurt Angle was like Michael Myers in HCTP. I recall having him in red and hitting 3 consecutive stunners on him and he still kicked out at 2.

Ah Beat The Streak. More like Break The Controller. First time I finally won was with Edge and a heavily modified move set. Took me about 45 minutes of straight chair shots multiple failed spear and GTS attempts and a few times I sent myself through a table. When I finally beat him I swear I almost cried from happiness.

Ps1's Smackdown!, big show was OP as all hell. I remember playing as stone cold and had a full 1 hour long match where I beat the living hell out of him. I dont even remember how many stunners I used, but at one point I saved 5 up and used them all back to back. He still beat me with only one choke slam. I was physically and mentally defeated after that, took my L and just went to bed.

Playing against Brock Lesnar with anyone but Goldberg or Stone Cold was damn near suicide in Here Comes The Pain.

Honorable mentions: 1. the Elimination Chamber match in HCTP when you enter first and Lesnar enters last, 2. that challenge in SvR 2007 when you have to beat Kane and Taker with the Mexicools...

I loved the weight classes in SVR07 😆 When you created a wrestler, you could change the weight independently from their physical build. So everytime I created a wrestler, I would Max out their weight to give them an unfair advantage. Hardly anyone could pick them up. 😅

The Rock was so OP in Smackdown 2. You can skip through the entire career mode and never lose a match

Loved Great Khali just being able to catapult light heavyweights over the ropes in the royal rumble. That was fun

Kane from All stars was so OP for some reason, his signature moves literally kept you down so long

Great Khali in SvR '07 was borderline impossible to beat. I remember just having to spam punches to beat him

Goldberg being OP was sooo satisfying ... especially when he’s your favorite wrestler, nobody could use the excuse that I was cheating because they knew he was my dog 😂

Triple H on HCTP deserves a mention his Move Set on the game was soo fun to use and he had the new Pedigree animation.

Triple H in "Here Comes The Pain" should get mentioned too. He wasn't a Goldberg or Lesnar, but each of his stats were high so he could reverse, deal high damage with his move set, and had high endurance.

Here's a lesser known one. The Undertaker in WWF Wrestlemania 2003 for Gameboy Advanced. He has the Chokeslam and Tombstone as part of his base moveset (The Last Ride is his signature), and his running DDT seemingly deals more damage than everyone else's in the game. He's pretty much garunteed to win every match in Pay-per-view mode because he was both the American Badass and a Heel at the time. His AI's agression is off the charts!

One I always hated was Randy Orton. Being able to counter every move into scoop powerslam pin.

Great Khali was just as much of a fucking nightmare in SvR '08 and it made no sense. It got to the point where my 2 friends would 2v1 against me on Khali, and I'd consistently beat them. I loved the weight class system man, you really felt like a monster playing as one of the giants.

I use to record matches on this thing called a vcr, so on “Here comes the pain” I let my created wrestler who’s stats weren’t great (for realism) face Lesnar for the title at the Royal Rumble (figured my guy would lose and Brock would keep the belt till WM) but after 20 mins and three F5’s with pins broken by the ropes my guy survived and won. One of the biggest upsets in video tapes fantasy wrestling history

Just wanted to say WWF No Mercy (n64) Survival Mode was my favorite and having to beat 100 wrestlers in a row with pin, submit, or ring out in battle royale always felt like conquering a mountain!

Undertaker (Biker) in Here Comes the Pain always destroyed me. Damn, I miss that game. That and Wrestlemania 2000.

Man I knew it wasn’t me!! Everytime I went against Brock Lesnar in Career Mode he would absolutely destroy me. I was playing on normal difficulty, but it didn’t matter. His reversals were on point and he would leave me on yellow just from two slams.

Wrestlemaina 2000: HHH on normal, he reversed EVERYTHING. HHH on hard was only possible if you cheese him with no dq with weapons but even that is not guaranteed to slow him down

HCTP was probably my absolute favorite Smackdown game. There was a great career mode, probably the best graphics for the PS2 version there ever was, and it’s still got good replay value if you can find it today

Lesnar and Goldberg were really well done , they had that mystique in real life that they crush you and made you feel every move No one has that consistent character anymore ,everyone can dominate the whole roster and then get buried by mid cards

So this is my first time viewing this video and I had no idea khali’s weight class was ULTRA heavyweight and that mickie James challenge was a pain, but I actually did it on Legend difficultly because I legit thought you had to be on legend difficulty to have it count but hearing you say that makes me wanna slap my past self or just do it again.

My friends and I would always use an AI extra which would either be brock or goldberg while we chose different characters and try to take them on at the highest difficulty. One of the many things I love about Smackdown! Shut Your Mouth was that there were no overall stats for any wrestler in exhibition mode, so the only thing that mattered was if you were actually better than the a.i. It was always really fun being able to beat Hulk Hogan as Torrie Wilson with the same level of difficulty as if I was Stone Cold.

I'm literally probably the only human who's ever struggled, but sheamus on wwe 12 and wwe 13 I could not beat.

Brock Lesnar deserved to be OP in HCTP he had a phenomenal run with title between 02-03 he defeated almost everyone in his path. Funfact : Hulk hogan was the with highest overall in smackdown hctp with a booming 95 overall as it was old school hogan next was Ultimate warrior with 94 and than The Undertaker with 93 overall, unfortunately both hogan and warrior were removed from the game and even Jeff hardy was removed from the game!

it's 2021 and I sill play SD HCTP in my ps2. I remember the day I got the game. I've always liked playing games so I was at the store with my parents at the time and then I saw a monster in the game cover and I was blown away, had to have it. That's what made me like and watch WWE. After that I got other games such as SD SYM, SVR2006/07/08. When WWE become PG and the release of the ps3 I didn't buy any more games or the new PS, I just stuck with the ones I had until today! So many good memories and I'm glad I can still play those legendary games (I'm 25)
