Don't really think McTominay is overrated in FM. He has poor positioning, marking, decisions for a player at an elite level club like irl. Irl he is a mental and physical beast (he is also 6"4") and works really hard and scores lots of goals so don't understand why he is considered overrated in FM tbh. He works well in the ME but so does any player who is tall and aggressive.

Rashford scored 30 goals for United season before this FM is made. I don't get why did you put him here. You can put him in FM25 if he has those stats

I get that, he’s a good player when he’s on the swing of it, a good prem for sure and a player I like a lot but in FM he’s basically one of the best players in the world

But even with those 30 goals he does not deserve these attributes. He is one of the most overrated players ever and yet in FM 24 he looks like Thierry Henry in earlier managers

Funny how Rashford made that list but not a single chelsea player did, when basis real world performance every single chelsea first team player deserve atleast a 20 point downgrade :D Didn't realise people at FMScout are Chelsea fans. :D

Most Chelsea players aren’t very good in game at all! Pretty fairly rated imo, just a few United players seem too highly rated! Rashford in game is one of the world’s best!

@@fmscout you made me boot up a new save with 24.3.0. Below are some players and their CAs at the beginning of a save. petrovic 142 fofana 151 badiashile 147 Chilwell 155 enzo 158 caicedo 156 sterling 161 nkunku 162 Jackson 147 You're telling me these aren't bloated? Sterling and Nkunku are 1 and 2 CA higher rated than Rashford, who was rated on the back of a 30 goal season. I get that the attributes do make a difference in the match engine, but that doesn't make a player play way better or way worse than their CA suggests at any point in the game.

@@sahujibaknot trying to defend anyone I'm just here to clarify that this was not about CA (apart from some stats), this was just about in game performance and its fair to say that the players you mentioned aren't oppressingly good in game, at least from my experience but players like beto and calvert-lewin are really really good in game when they "shouldn't" be

@@christianulrich8234 I quite agree with most of the names on that list, just find that funny that some of the chelsea players have obscenely high ratings (and that shows in the game) whereas it's rashford that's getting picked up, on the back of a 30 goal season :D There's a reason PSG were looking at him to replace Mbappe at one point.

@@sahujibak dont get me wrong, i saw the video and i definitely saw that there were a lot of man united players haha i definitely see where you are coming from but again, yes there are a lot of chelsea players with high CA but i dont really see any of those players perform to the extent that rashford does (in fm ofc) granted i also never saw antony or mc tominay do really well in fm but rashford is definitely performing to an insane extent the thing is, there's no real point in "arguing" or debating, everyone knows by now that in this years engine, physical players dominate (especially speed, agility and balance) its just a game and players that dont play that well in real life will, thanks to this engine, perform well above their usual level personally its not that important to me, i just felt like clarifying things also, as a little side note, I'm a bit of a manchester united fanboy and personally i rate rashford and mc tominay quite highly haha but i understand why other people would find their good performance in game "a bit too much" sorry for the paragraph haha

@@fmscout he doesn’t have the attributes to keep the ball and he lacks intelligence which is just like real life. I think FM gets the attributes right, or at least very accurate, 99% of the time. I think off the ball and teamwork need to go down a bit but other than that all his highly-rated attributes reflect his qualities in real life

Good vid! Had a thought about underrated players, I work at a football club in the 2nd tier of Sweden (IK Brage) and one of our strikers is really, really underrated in game. He is currently tied first for most goals scored but in game you almost always have to get another one to do the job.

stikers with good physical stats and good height with high workrate have been really good for a long time now in FM, which is why i think strikers like calvert lewin, nunez and schick are so good.

Probably a very fair list. Leon Bailey is my absolute nemesis and though a good player he’s almost unplayable!

Their is a kid in oxford united called Negru he is class in fm and can play in everyteam and league and get 7.34 rating in a season 😅hope he achieve this feet because he is still a squad player their in real life

DCL, Nunez; Beto, Diaz, there's a pattern here. FM really overrates how effective physical attributes are and that's why they're that good in the game. (DCL and Nunez always signed for Real Madrid in my fm23 saves ffs)

Should do underrated. I feel maguire when the memes started like 2 years ago. got proper underrated. Making him comparable to lindeloff of all players . Ratings should be routed on facts and data not people. People are saying man uts should sell fenandes their only good player . People are stupid and should not be listened to

Let’s be honest, FM get quite a few players way off. Lewis Ferguson was awarded best midfielder in Serie A for last season and in game he’s been rated average at best basically because he’s Scottish. If he was English he’d be rated like Jude Bellingham..

The reason why a lot of these players are so OP is because of their physical attributes. It's because SI themselves overrate physicals over mentals and technicals way too much. FM-Arena has conducted constant tests on this every single patch and it's been conclusively proven that pace, acceleration and jumping reach affects players and team performance much more than any other attribute.

McTominay only has 140 CA he's not overrated tbf just well placed ettributes for the engine but he could even be a little higher

I think some of these is more a case of them being accidental meta players. They are stupidly good because they have good physicals and that just means they massively overperform in the engine. Rashford definately has some questionable stat selections in certain places, but FM again doesn't really have a way to accurate reflect a player that goes from being a world beater for 6 months every couple of years to fucking useless for the rest of it. Inconsistancy doesn't even really cover it. Honestly, United as an entire squad feels overrated. I've looked it at a few time, in real life you look at that squad and go "That would be a great rebuild project on FM". And then you go to FM and its like... the fuck would I sell any of these players they are nuts.

I think McTominay and Mount aren't quite overrated, but are misaligned in their stats/player roles. FM has them BBMs, but in reality they are both natural AMs or McT might be considered a SS.

In a similar way to McTominay I’d say Goretzka is another that is overrated in game relative to how he plays in real life. Definitely a guy that has the right mix of attributes for the match engine but real life he isn’t that guy

I have been saying it for years - English players/league = easy mode. Many of the so called "creators" on youtube for FM take over all these teams, all over the world and show how good they are at making over the teams by selling all the native talent and bringing in English/Abu Dhabi league players. All they are doing is just exploiting the bias of the game creators. A real save would allow the English teams to overpay for mediocre talent, like Beto and Onana, but the manager wouldn't actually use any English players. That would absolutely reflect real life.

Amadou Diawara is soooooo overrated, he joined Anderlecht a couple of years ago from AS Roma, but he always played shit at anderlecht. They wanted to sell him already 1-2 years ago but nobody wanted him. This season he was even dropped to the second team for the trainings. But in FM he is still considered as one of the best players at Anderlecht with the likes of Dolberg, Schmeichel, Vertonghen and Dreyer (POTS)

Generally in FM24 many things are overrated and underrated: Overrated: 1. Offensive corners, 2. Offensive throw ins, 3. Far post crosses, 4. Players - Kolo Muani, Alexander Isak, Luis Diaz, Nicolas Jackson, Wesley Fofana, Dejan Kulusevski, Benjamin Sesko, Maurits Kjaergaard, Reece James, Marcus Thuram, Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele, Dayot Upamecano 5. Teams - Chelsea, Man United, Milan, RB Leipzig, Eintracht, Marseille, Benfica, Porto, Newcastle, Norway, Sweden Some players are underrated - Julian Alvarez, Alex Grimaldo, Rafael Leao, Gavi, Pedri, Harry Kane Some things are as well underrated - aerial goalkeeping, defending during counter attacks, exchanging marking, stopping crosses, defending through passes

@@chakitoooo This. They don't perform well on my saves either. Most of the United players have great technical and physical attributes, but very weak mentally, and most people just don't get that
