Just watched your clear planner pouch vid - it gave me the confidence to press on w my Lug Transport dupe which turned out beautifully. Thank You!! For these boxy bags (prepare to spend more months in a rabbit hole here) try assembling a few w the zipper on the short side. The templates are so great! My least favorite part is cutting out fabric and the templates make it so easy to just place the fabric and rotary cut around them. They have taken a stressful part of my hobby to a mindless thing I can do in bulk and then have fabric ready when I’m ready to sew. Thanks for such a great product!

I’ve been following you on KZfaq for several years and you are definitely one of my favorites to watch.❤ I’m in the process of making a boxy bag for my son-in-law that needs to be 8” long, 3” tall, and 3” wide. there is not a pattern, other than her tutorial....BUT she has templates on her website to purchase that are wonderful for fast cutting, brainless thought, ......I highly recommend them.......I love have the hard templates.

I made 2 from the clear vinyl from purple dragon fabrics. Does anyone’s box squish? Or is it pretty sturdy? Idk what to expect or know if it’s normal lol because it Sits sturdy but when I zip, Sometimes it doesn’t stay firm. I have to reshape and pop the box in some areas. Do yours keep shape without reshaping each time you open and close? What company’s vinyl do you recommend instead? :)

Quick question. I watched your previous video before ordering the templates and I see that with the template video when sewing the zipper on, you sew all the way to the end, rather than leaving 3/4 inch unsewn. Is that because you are using zippers by the yard and the other had a metal zipper?

Every time I make a boxy bag, my arms don’t line up I beautifully like yours. I cannot figure what I am doing wrong. Is it my cutting or do I sew a little wonky? Who knows.

Make sure your seem allowances are accurate and straight, and fabric edges stay lined up. Make sure the square cutouts are the right size.

Her tutorial Basic boxy bag enhanced has the measurements in the description. Also the steps to make the bag are way more simple. The corner cut measurements are stated in the tutorial when the cuts are made.

Omgosh I have tried using clear vinyl and solid soft vinyl. I can not get it to work!!! 😢 I keep getting nests on the underside!!!

I did the same thing. It’s very common. It’s a tension issue. Take a test strip and try out all your different tension to see what your machine likes. I had never messed with my tension, ever, but I yanked mine all the way to 9! That finally worked. Good luck! You also may want to add tissue paper under your vinyl because it sticks to some machines. I sew right over my tissue and then just easily tears away. 😊
