You would have to go to donut friar! When stay at Jack huffs motor lodge, it a morning ritual to get donuts there. Making me hungry. That's okay, we'll be down in August. My favorite donut is cruellers

Thank you for this recommendation. We had the opportunity to try this place today. It sure was a hot day! We had our donut for breakfast, then went up to Anakeesta. The donuts were delicious!

@@FridaysForever It was very nice. We enjoyed the open air lift up and down as well as the rope bridge treetop walk. The tower gave us a little breeze. We didn’t eat up there, but looked through the gift shops. Today, we went to Clingmans Dome and Oconaluftee Visitor Center. One thing we haven’t found near the Gatlinburg East KOA is an ice cream shop. There is one just a quarter mile down the road, but it was closed. Do you know of any out this way? We have one more day to seek one out. 🍦

I really enjoyed this video. I always visit the Village to see if the Day Hiker has anything new (great hiker store). My dad & I usually stop at that coffee shop for a Caramel Campfire Frappe. I've never had donuts from the Donut Friar, but will check it out on our next visit. New camera?

Lot's a nice shops for sure in the village. You should give them a try next time in the Smokies. We've been using my Real Estate full frame camera on the last several vids. Sony A7iv with Sony G Master lens 2.8.

The Cinnamon Loaf with Coffee is my favorite, but if ya don't get there early enough, they are always out of it. I've lucked up, and managed to score it twice out of the times I've been there, which is probably around 10, or so.

The Village is one of our favorite spots in Gatlinburg. And the Donut Friar is a great place to visit as well. We stayed at Marshall’s Creek Rest Motel and The Village is an extremely short walk from there.

My favorite is cinnamon rolls from Donut Friar and coffee from the place next door. We also sit in the exact location where yall are sitting in front of the fountain. We live 600 miles from Gatlinburg but visit often. Recently friends from here in my town in North Mississippi came up. When they came home they surprised me with cinnamon rolls from Donut Friar. I'll return the favor when I come up later this summer.

My favorites are the glazed cake donuts. Chocolate or cinnamon glazed cake....especially the applesauce glazed cake! Our local donut shop used to have them, but they haven't the past few times I was there.

Glazed cake are very popular but not as much in south. Born & raised in New England and we always had them at every donut shop. Live in TN now and the soft glazed are more popular, I love them both 😃

You can actually find the "glazed cake donuts" at Walmart in their bakery believe it or not lol I don't think they bake them there but they come in a box like they're from a bakery and they're a little bit pricey but so worth it 🍩 ☕

Its hard to beat the Donut Friar. I have never had a glazed cake donut. Sounds really good. Their cinnamon bread is better than Dollywoods famous cinnamon bread. Such a pretty place to share some donuts. Enjoyed the review.
