FlexVolt Advantage is ONLY sold at Home Depot , Lowes sells the Dewalt Power Detect line with utilizes the New 21700 cells that are in the 8.0ah & 6.0ah batteries , so if you don't have a FlexVolt battery go with the Power Detect saw , it's just as Powerful as the FlexVolt Advantage saw but it uses the 20v 8.0ah batteries to achieve that power instead of the FlexVolt batteries. ALSO , if I have to buy a FlexVolt battery I'm just going to go with All the Power and get the 60v FlexVolt saw , right ? So , for me , not having any FlexVolt batteries, I bought the Power Detect circular saw kit that includes the saw , a 8.0ah battery, the yellow fast charger , and bag for $279 and right now you will get your choice of a FREE tool , it's a Great Deal. P.S. After All That , the Depot has a Great Blk Friday Deal on the FlexVolt Advantage tools , buy the tool for $199 and get a FlexVolt Starter Kit FREE which includes a 6.0ah FlexVolt battery and the New 6 amp fast charger , which is also a Great Deal and it puts you on the FlexVolt Platform with the Battery. Me Personally, I still like the Power Detect but you can't go wrong with either deal ....👍👊🖖

I got mine in a kit at Home Depot which was their month long BF sale. It is a great saw and well worth picking up. I am glad I held off on a cordless for this one. It is fantastic.

The 60v Flexvolt is 47% more powerful than the one that you are testing. I have seen the reviews and I recently bought one. DCS578x2 which comes with 2 9Ah batteries. Nobody beats this saw. It’s the True Beast!!! Caution** The 20v system will not work on this saw. I wanted a powerful cordless circular saw. I kind of stumbled upon it. Once I saw the reviews? I didn’t care after seeing how much more powerful than all the other saws. The 9Ah battery is awesome, and I’m not a contractor either. Even though I have the 20v Max system on all my other cordless Dewalt tools, I bought it. Am very happy with the purchase...Just my preference.....

I have the Gen 1 575 Flexvolt and it is a powerhouse, so glad I hopped on the Dewalt platform .

I would get a metal cutting saw, they are better for metal cutting and chip evacuation

Question guys: where is this made? Reason I ask, I’ve had 2 brand new out of the box Dewalt circular saws that didn’t work. One was the Flexvolt. I put a fully charged battery in it and it would not run. The other saw was their new brushless 6-1/2” . The LED light never turned on, and after 3-4 pulls of the trigger the electronic brake failed. I returned both and got refunded with no issues but I think they were both made in Mexico.

That's Weird , I've owned a few of their saws and never had any problems, including the New 6.5" Brushless blade left saw that just came out ..

@@brianf9619 no issues with any other of the Dewalt tools I own except for those 2 saws. Like I said only thing they had in common was where they were made.

Hmmm, I have only ever had one Dewalt tool fail me. It was a bad switch. I am not sure exactly where this is made but contact DeWALT and they will take care of you.

There is one *MAJOR* problem with this saw..... And almost all sidewinders are like this..... The motor is on the WRONG SIDE (Unless you're a lefty).... *MOST* people are right handed and having the motor on the left side is not only impractical for a right handed person but it's dangerous. When I'm cutting I look at the blade directly to see where I'm cutting (following a line, etc etc). I'll stick with my normal DeWALT "worm style" 60V saw where the motor is on the correct side which is the right side of the saw.

Motor on the left side is the most common and I have been using circular saws for over 20 years nothing unsafe about it and I'm right handed. You aren't using the saw correctly.

Saw's are not for left handed or right handed people, they are just blade left and blade right. That's why the handle is designed with no bias as well as the safety. Anyway, what you're talking about is your experience in your part of the world (America I'm guessing) because most of the rest of the world actually use blade right saws. There are pros and cons for both style of saw and it looks like you favour the blade left style of saw due to it's better line of site. Fair enough, but there is no right or wrong side. There is only what you grew up with and if you ever bothered at any point to learn the benefits of the other style or not.

No no no you're wrong, blade right is made for right handed people that's why 90% of saws are blade right .Blade left is shit ,sawdust goes all over you and the big part of the shoe is hanging on waste side ,blade left is only good for cutting plywood. Blade left is peculiar to west coast USA ,the rest of the world uses blade right .

@@interman7715 refer to my comment above. No one can positively postulate that a certain orientation of blade is for a particular hand dominance. It's absurd, look at the handle design.

Don't buy the Dewalt 20v jig saw. Had to return it. Worked okay with wood cutting blades but metal cutting blades are thinner and the tool spits them out.
