because once Caesar dies, Lanius would take his place and he's not smart and charismatic enough to hold the Legion together, it'll just go back to several warring tribes. while the NCR usually has shitty politicians and still manages to exist, it's barely holding on, on the frontier territories but it's still there, the Legion can only survive with a strong leader which they won't have for long.

Regardless of ending the legion as a state probably wouldnt exist after caesar. Probably devolve into tribal states again most likley with a variety of caesars leaders becoming warlords. I would assume the leaders of these warlord states(in my headcannon if legion wins is aurelius of phoenix,vulpes inculta,lucius and the monster of the east legate lanius with lanius and lucious being the biggest warlords.

@@louditalian1962 Thats the problem. Caesar has no replacement. Lanius is a savage dog with no love for diplomacy or smart tactics. Caesar literally says he has no love for the legion. That can destroy the legion in the long run. Even if Lucious,Vulpes Inculta or Aurelius of phoenix take over they cant hold the legion and none of them are as intelligent as caesar was. He literally formed the legion.

@PaidDoughboyGameClipz Just so you know, the NCR came from vault 15. They are from a vault that was stripped from all its resources including a GECK. The Garden of Eden Creation Kit. They used it to found the city of Shady Sands. But the NCR is from a vault that gave birth to the Raider Tribes, namely the Vipers, and the Kahns. So technically the show was pretty accurate in portraying them as a good group of raiders.

Nah, I won't consider institute to be a major faction. Sure they have advance tech but their influence to the story of the game is so little. Beside base on the tv show, prydwen is still flying, means the institute ending most likely not cannon. If I must say, the other major faction in the game has to be tha vault-tech

This isn't entirely true, enclave isn't entirely evil, example being remnants from FNV or Colonel Autumn who tried to purify the water to redeem enclave.

This is about the major factions that have enough power to mold the wasteland once they gain control. The Minutemen are small potatoes. This doesn't cover every faction, because you could also say, where are the Regulators, Talon Company, Gunners, etc.
