The fact they brought him back at all is kind of odd since... it would be like suddenly resurrecting Mar’vell. Like... most people around my age only know Miss Marvel, and know Mar’vell as some guy who died of cancer. It’d be weird.

The thing is wally isn't as popular although I do believe he is a more fleshed out character than barry. DC hates legacy characters and has been sidelining them (including wally) for a very long time now. Plus it doesn't help that the movies and tv show use barry which is why they stick to him.

@@ChineduOpara At least the rings made sense. They had the ring linked to an emotion, there's an "emotion spectrum" and obviously the color spectrum, so that one wasn't bad. The metals it's really just dark metal and different versions of Batman, nothing new. Imo those were at least creative, had a good story, or weren't too much of a stretch. This "forces" thing? Yeah that's a no on basically all levels and imo takes a lot away from the initial uniqueness of the speed force. (forgot to mention but the UV thing for lanterns was also pretty bland and unnecessary)

Like all they did was switch "speed" with anything else. The concept of being able to tap into a dimension that gives you "strength" is legit cool kinda like a warlock type of thing, but the way they handled it was pretty lame.

I dont think will be as prevalent as the Lanterns. I think it's like the Green and other elemental forces in Swamp Thing and Animal Man where you know the others exists but only the Green, Red, and Rot are in focus

Of course, where is light there is also the light that can't be seen by us humans, so it's just a natural evolution of the whole thing. They were talking about 6 other hidden powers hidden by the Speed Force/a higher might, but we still didn't get anything new from there, as far as I know...

Ultraviolet and Infrared are two colours we can't see, but there should be more. Gold is not found in the spectrum of light and isn't even a real colour. It's a yellow-ish metal...

The only thing they changed is the source or origin of those powers (the lantern, the star heart, Star Sapphires and so on). Changing that to something else wouldn't make any sense. However, since they are now going into the metal-direction with Dark Knight: Metal and the new Metal Men-series involving Nth Metal Man, it is likely that they expand on the "Metal-Forces of the Universe".

@@Sonicjan They change things like that constantly. Superman was always supposed to be the last Kryptonian, Flash didn't originally have the speed force, it's all fluid and adaptable.

I've always felt that Flash comics are best read in volumes. They always seem to have really great overall stories but often drag heavily in the middle of storylines.

You really must not do well in physics. You just heard he accessed the multiverse. Which means both space and time, like a cosmic central control room. You only gain this once you have all other forces, those forces allow you the other forms of manipulation your asking for. Zoom doesnt have any training with these forces yet, while hes basically a god right now, he doesnt know HOW to be a god yet.

The Speed Force could always manipulate space and time like he's doing with the Forever and even dimensional hop. What I'm simply saying, is this Force is just a step above what the Speed Force has already teetered on the edge of being able to do. The other 3 Forces and their abilities almost feel negligible to what the Forever Force (in this initial issue) is seemed capable to do. There's no signs it offers matter manipulation which could highlight even higher Strength Force like abilities, or even something like Anti-Life control which could be a step up above Sage Force Manipulation. All this force has been revealed to be is just higher Speed Force powers, which seems lame when it was hyped up to be this grand force on a level beyond the 4 lower forces

You basically get the power to be at any point and anytime with no loss of stamina on the user. This is an extremely useful tool, but only if you are a mortal with pretty limited reserves. To that end i understand the let down. The other bonus, seems to be you can directly make a decision to where you want to be. The speed force isnt as exact. Prone to mistakes and cannot access the multiverse, well i dont think directly on purpose i might be wrong. So while on paper its not entirely different, the scope of utility it provides is outstanding. Also, im not sure talking about the forever force alone is fair....i kept bringing up the other forces because zoom tells us its a package deal basically...
