i love the M4 with SOCOM ammo on hardcore, it's a 1-shot-kill no matter where you hit 'em. use it in semi-auto which can actually be a lot faster than full auto, but usually you won't need more than 2 rounds anyway. combined with fmj you really a have an anti-aircraft gun in your hands that will pe-ne-trate.

I always love using off-meta weapons and attachments. Things that aren’t over powered but still fun and interesting to use are always appealing to me. People always get pissed off in search and destroy when they die to the socom rounds. They just can’t believe they outgunned their kilo 141 or as Val lmao.

You can do a fun and surprisingly effective setup with the AUG and the M4: Take the AUG and put on the 5.56 30 round mags, the 622mm barrel, holo or VLK sight, tac laser and the fast ADS stock. Then take the M4 and put on the first barrel, either the 9mm or the .458 SOCOM, Merc foregrip, 5mw laser, and either a supressor or a sight and use it as an SMG. The M4 with the 9mm rounds does MP7-like damage but with better range and a higher RoF (992rpm). I also like running it with a long barrel, comando foregrip and tac laser alongside a Kar. And with the 458 rounds all it takes is 5 bodyshots to down somebody so if you hit your shots you get an insane ttk up close.
