The biggest problem was Rodgers himself! The Packers went out and signed over the hill player's That Rodgers wanted. Each of those seasons we ended with a 1 done. The problem was not the team it was Rodgers! He failed to buy into the offense Lafleur brought with him! This past season proved it. The evidence on the field, they showed it the second half of the season and the Packers blowout of the Cowboys! Once Jordan Love relaxed and trusted his reads. The offense was on fire. I hate to say it, but I don't believe had Rodgers had the same young Receiver's. They would have made the 2023 playoffs at all! He was holding the team back.

The difference between this postseason and almost every other one Rodgers played in post 2011, they had a top 10 defense that showed up in the postseason and consistently made clutch plays. 2020, one corner for Green Bay gave up a hail mary and a dpi to end the game. 2013, a corner dropped a pick, which allowed the 49ers to get a game-winning field goal. 2015, the defense gave up a huge overtime touchdown versus the Cardinals. You get the point. Except with 2010, Clay Matthews forced a huge fumble in the 4th and BJ Raji got a pick-six in the NFC championship game. It was the one postseason outside of 2021 and 2014 where the defense made huge plays which were good enough to go to and possibly win a Super Bowl.

IMO Peyton Manning was a bigger playoff choker than Rodgers. He had 9 first round exits in his career. If he didn’t face a Rex Grossman Bears team in the Super Bowl in 2006 or had a top 5 defense in 2015 when he could no longer throw, he would have 0 rings. Rodgers gets too much of a bad rap in the playoffs. Most of his losses weren’t his fault. The problem is that Brady left us spoiled. He created an illusion that every all time great QB needs to have multiple rings, but he’s the exception not the norm. Remember Dan Marino never even won a ring.

Great video. Only nitpick that I have on this video is saying they had terrible O line play in 2008. Its easy to see that Rodgers took 50 sacks that year and blame the O line, but Rodgers was notorious for holding the ball too long and trying to make something happen, leading to 36 of those 50 sacks being charged to Rodgers himself (per PFF)

They had like 15 guys on IR; breaking it down by how many games were missed by preferred starters, they're the only team to ever be that injured and win more than 6 games. Not to mention that Super Bowl was headed towards a blow out until they lost not only Charles Woodson, but 2 other starters in their secondary all in span of like 4 plays.

“ dominated when they shouldn’t have.” I have a hard time with that, considering how loaded the roster was before they lost a ton of guys to injured reserve. @@LLE23 My absurd take is that Rodgers will not finish a single season in Gang Green. I know it sounds crazy, but I have this one neat trick: Way back in the summer of 2014, I acquired an Aaron Rodgers jersey. I wore it week 1, and my Packers got blown out. Thinking nothing of it, I wore my jersey again in week 3, when the Packers again got blown out. At this point the weather was getting cooler, so I put away the jersey until we had an unusually warm day in October. Again, the Packers got blown out. Keep in mind that they won every other game that regular season except one, and they lost that one by one score. So I put that jersey away, thinking it was cursed. I pulled it out again in 2017 in an effort to break the curse. I thought it WAS broken when ARod threw a bomb in overtime to set up a game winning field goal. But little did I know, it just had a slight delay. Because a few weeks later, Rodgers was injured. So I never touched that jersey again. Until September 11th, 2023. The night ARod played four snaps in Gotham. Going to wear it again this fall.

They low key snuck up on everyone and showed they were really better than everyone thought. I think they were underdogs and rightfully so. When you are really good and you are underdogs you win more than you would think. Once Packers/Rodgers could not sneak up on anyone anymore it became much harder to win. Brady is undefeated in SBs when his team is the underdog. he's 4-3 when his team is the favorite. MVP's change expectations and pressure builds up. Favorites against Giants Twice and Eagles. Lost all 3. Rodgers is a great QB who did take advantage of a weak Division and when the playoffs came around just came up short when the competition and pressure was cranked up. Brady used the weak division to take advantage in the playoffs. Maybe its coaching or roster, but its seemed like even for Brady when he won MVPs he lost in the playoffs too. Having a weak division just gives you a better stat line and seeding what you do with it when it matters is what matters.

If any of Brady’s Playoff runs were treated the same they would also be the most underrated playoff runs ever. - Background of Previous seasons leading up to it. - The Late Season Surge where the make the playoffs - Casually mentioning stuff like Defensive TDs, and Defensive Turnovers forced instead of zeroing in on them as if they were the only reason they won the game (Deservingly so) - Giving his stat lines context (ie not harping on low yardage totals and mentioning when high yardage games are done in a few quarters and could’ve been higher, and explaining bad stats by pointing out, big hits, and tipped interceptions that were his fault) This Literally could be applied to any QBs playoff run. But for some reason Rodgers is the one who’s always the one who gets it done to him first and Brady’s are never ever broken down like this especially ones where the TD: INT ratio isn’t impressive.

The difference between Brady and Rodgers is that Rodgers has always been much more talented as a QB specifically, whereas Brady is the smartest playmaker and has always been carried by elite offenses. The only Brady playoff run that’s ever come close to impressing me is his last one w the Buccaneers, and even all of those wins have an asterisk on them (7-9 Commanders, Brees retiring, Rodgers choking, Mahomes had no O-line). Not to mention it was the one season that had low in-person attendance rendering home field advantage virtually nonexistent

Rodgers is truly the goat when it comes to the ability to throw the ball. I wonder if the 49ers drafted him he may have as many super bowls as Brady . (Mahomes is a Fruad. Brock Purdy would be as successful as machomes if reversed w/Reid’s chiefs and the NFL/refs on his side.

LOL salty much, Woodson went out with a broken collar bone, Troy was playing, Ben was playing and they still won. You act like every playoff game, its gonna be a blow out. Just stop being fucking ignorant. Hasnt done anything since, he literally rewrote the history books for QBs. He doesnt have the rings because of team letdowns, not his letdowns, but he had the greatest season a QB will ever have in 2011 season. They went 21-1 from Dec 26 2010-Jan 15-2011. That is better then the douche nozzle patriots 18-0 run which didnt include winning a superbowl and they didnt pass the conference championship game the year before and lost to the colts. STAY STUPID!

the packers didnt even make the playoffs legit in 2010 so none of this "playoff run" counted anyways. they lost at home to the vikings 27-24 therefore they went 9-7 and the buccaneers were the actual 6th seed. Quarless td doesnt count because he was out of bounds and the Shiancoe td did count so the packers lost that game. i wonder if Rodgers will ever win a legit super bowl?

I’m a diehard Packers fan but Aaron Rodgers’s has always befuddled us. Of course we love everything he has done with us but you’re not wrong at all. He became such an arrogant playoff choker. I’ll never forgot how enraged I was 2 years ago when I was at the divisional playoff game at home when they were the #1 seed. He had a fourth shot at the 49ers and still couldn’t do it. I get that special teams blew that score late but the gb defense played stout that game. Rodger’s was only looking for davante Adams and shelled up, not playing at the back to back MVP level. I wanted him to get a second ring so bad in Green Bay, it’s amazing he even got one.

@@rmvmoose27 it takes a whole team to win and lose football games. Rodgers was not always flawless, nor should he have to be. The defense and special teams have let us fans down more often than Rodgers and the offense. Not to mention questionable play calling playing a role here and there. It's almost like people forget that Rodgers was the main reason the Packers were as good as they were

@@zdr7420 you are definitely not wrong. I certainly agree with you on the defensive aspect. If I’m being truthful to myself, I placed my disappointments in the playoffs mostly on some of his performances and big moments but you’re right.

@@rmvmoose27 I understand where you're coming from. It seemed like those few times that the defense did show up, then the offense sputtered for whatever reason. Special teams was just always pretty subpar and have compounded on issues on whichever side of the ball struggled
@matthewzang6688

Lmao, that’s insanely ignorant blaming Rodgers for most of those games. In almost every one of those games, the defense gave up an exorbitant amount of points on the board. You know it’s bad when the Packers can put up 30 or 40 points on offense and still lose because the defense choked so badly. I guarantee you if Rodgers had a top 10 defense in many of those games, he’d have at least a few rings. I guess Dan Marino sucks too? What about Drew Brees? Terrible. That’s the type of “logic” many of these Rodgers haters utilize.
