They’re interesting but the problem is once they start getting old they can’t do shit cause unorthodox fighters heavily rely on reflexes. Hence why such an amazing fighter like Roy jones jr and prince naseem got fucked up. But guys like betrebiev and canelo are still able to fight despite being old. Cause they have a good grasp of basic boxing fundamentals and that can help you have an extremely long career

@@bradley8258 I wholeheartedly agree, the only awkward fighter who got better as they aged that I can think of is Jersey Joe and even he was brutally knocked out twice in the end. I have an affinity for unorthodox/awkward fighters because my style has always been awkward but you are correct, at some point you’re gonna need to rely on the basics.

Well, Unorthodox means untraditional or different. Southpaws are not considered unorthodox simply because they're just left handed fighters who followed the same concept as orthodox.
