What's funny is thanks to ask vector prime, we literally have an example of this. Once as part of a mode-scanning contest, a cocky cybertronian attempted to mode-scan all of entropy itself. This, in fact, very much atomized him... Unless he succeeded and became the universe, with nobody else noticing anything different. Plus with the shroud rendering universe travel super hard, one might never actually realize he still existed. The best case scenario for him is ending up like Kars.

So who's say that a transforming, living robot doesn't know his own mechanical limits and how his own body functions? It could very well be that his transformers of his own kind have a "one time" transformation they are all aware of. 🤣 You can't say all transformers are the same. They are very diverse if you look at the entire transformers universe.
