It only has 5300 miles and 4 of those miles were done by me. Enjoy the video. My reactions to this car are genuine. It was truly an amazing little MINI.

I've owned two 2006 GPs and now I have a 2013 GP2 with only 3800 miles on it. Great cars!

I am the proud owner of #0761... I LOVE IT! It's my daily driver... and it has subtle mods that do not take away from the GP lineage

GP1 = Go Purchase One! Sun shining, driving a beautiful R53. Is there anything better? Not even a date with Alecia, Stefanie, or Kaley can compare. Just imagine driving through Milan in one, being chased by the Carabinieri and the Mafia, with a trunk full of gold. YES, PLEASE (and see you later)!

The most valuable GPs are probably the FIVE cars imported in China, which are also the only R53s and the only original manual transmission 1st gen Minis in the country. It seems only 2 of them are actually in the hands of private owners, and they would not let them go, even though they received offers over 100K $.

@@TheMINIac they are $30k with around 75k miles. I saw four listings in my country today. One of them (Car # 153/2000 ) is painted orange

The 2 seater is a big limitation but no doubt a very collectable Mini. It would be the GP2 for me.

I think my 2003 JC Works all black with all 3 JC Works options is as rare or rarer than the GP...Mechanicals,full body kit,and.JC suspension...I estimate the purchase of the Mini was over 40000.00....Engine kit 4200. Install 4000. Body kit 4000.00 paint and install 4000.and the JCW suspension all installed by BMW dealership,I have never seen another Mini like mine and I guarantee you that the GP will not out perform my Cooper! Values? What do these Minis go for in the open market? Someday I might want to sell...but the sound and feel of those 7000 RPM shifts when I am on the tail of the Dragon never gets old!

Correction. The 2005 R53 Jcw face-lift had 210hp. Not 200hp

Nice video and overview of this GP1. Surprised that BMW dealer let anyone drive it, with concerns of damage or rash. Seems your reputation being admitted MINI geek paid off! Some viewing this know about the 2006 R53-S I bought from the original owner 3 weeks ago with just 4026 miles. Story on that linked below (username: MCS4FUN) but mine was ordered and modded specifically with tracking planned but not subsequently used for that. As such, mine (now) might appeal to some more than one being OEM stock and less so to others (purists) which is understandable. Nonetheless, what a special treat for you to drive such a low mileage GP1.
