Jim Henson’s Muppets are iconic, legendary, and some of my favorite characters of all time. The Muppet Show was an absolute revolutionary show far ahead of its time. Often imitated, never duplicated, characters like Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie, and the gang were larger than life: they made outsider art appear in our living rooms. Puppetry reached new heights of comedy on a weekly basis thanks to the muppet show, and although often forgotten today, there’s a slew of weirdos who remember when these wacky puppets were kings of pop culture.
