Make sure you subscribe to our channel, and if notifications are your thing hit the bell so you'll know when our next video drops. If you want to watch what happened to the Titans later in these same playoffs, check out this Rewinder on "One Yard Short" - • "One Yard Short," one ...
When the Titans and Bills met on Wild Card Weekend in 1999, they were franchises in very different places. Tennessee was not long removed from being the Oilers, and from being in Houston. Their new leaders were making their very first playoff appearance. And they had zero quarterback controversy.
The Bills meanwhile were making their tenth trip to the playoffs in 12 seasons. They were looking to move past the major disappointments of the 90s, but to do so had just made a massive change at the quarterback position.
We all know the Music City Miracle, but do you remember what got us to that point? For that, we need to rewind.

@LuvFloridaSunsets Gotta remember that the Bills are the much more experienced playoff team than the Colts at this point, this was the last run of the 90s Bills, I think the Bills defense would've given Peyton fits, the Manning Harrison Colts that we would see in the 2000s just wasn't there yet. Plus the Bills had already beaten the Jags in the regular season so I think there was a good chance there. Bills get bodied by the Rams in the Superbowl but at least they get there again

Even if you believe that, the failure to win was not on the QB. 999 times out of 1000, that's a won game. Matter of fact, Tennessee got away with an illegal forward pass on the final play, so it shouldn't have counted.

That was a forward pass you clearly see him throw the ball from behind the 25 yard line, and the other Tennessee player catch it on the opposite side of the 25 yard line. Technically by rule the ball would of had to be caught in between the 25 and 24, he caught it in between the 25 and 26.
