Orchestral remake of Stage 1: The fortified City and The Church (Back to life).
You can expect a part 2 with the Overworld and Death themes.
Composed by June Chiki Chikuma in 1987 (japanese release)
Remake by Olivier Sirois, as a hobby.
Symphonic Orchestra Gold, Colossus, Garritan Personal Orchestra, Symphonic Choirs.

Never played this game. No nostalgia factor here... but just listening to the quality of this remake makes me think it must have been an AWESOME one.

It's a rare gem for this classic game. You play as an unknown protagonist, although in the Japanese version, players are allowed to choose a name. The game starts when he finds out that afer he came back from a long journey, his hometown Eolis was deserted and destroyed. The story prorgesses when both the Elves and the Dwarves lived together until The Evil One emerged from a meteorite and turned the Dwarves into monsters. The Dwarf King, Grieve swallowed his magical sword before he was tranformed, hiding inside his body to keep The Evil One from getting it. Only then it will be used to destroy The Evil One.

to sad that a remake of a very good old game destroys exact the things, that made it so great. However... This one is a definitive candidate, to reroll on one of the newer platforms.
