I find it fascinating that Mr. Williams used the word "majesty" in describing the "character" of Mars in the score for this movie. I have often listened to "Crossing Mars" and found my self thinking of the rise at the end of the piece as majestic.

So, every composer should be also the conductor. What about home composers who work on their sample libraries and know nothing about conducting?
