I spent a few hours in Corbridge, Northumberland on Easter Sunday (9th April 2023)
Northumbrian pastie, egg custard tart and coffee from Grant's Artisan Bakery was absolutely delicious.

Thanks Mark, aye Corbridge is class, I been here a lot of times on my bike, my hoose to Grant's Bakery in Corbridge is 21 mile then it's just another 4 to Hexham, it's all beautiful countryside round here. 👍

Hey, hello and a very good afternoon to you my friend. I am lucky living only 20 mile from Corbridge and go there quite often. Corbridge is very old with a fascinating history. A'hh Luke mate, you never fail. Your video's are a lot different to any I see on KZfaq, you have your own unique style and I see you are using the slo mo effect more lately. Love that. PS, I used to go to Corbridge 30 odd year ago for conkers. Have you any video's from the Lake District mate?

I live down the road in Stocksfield Luke, when you have lived round here all your life you kind of take places like Corbridge for granted. 50 years ago the bakery in the village was called Chaffey's the best bread and mince pies ever..., there were also 2 butchers and a Fishmonger which is amazing for a place that size. At 2:30 the building to the right of St. Andrew's church is called the Pele (pronounced peel) Tower, which is actually a pub! There are 6 pubs in the village and its a really chilled day out in the summer - thanks for uploading this :)

I agree 100%. You have no idea how much I love Grant's. Many a time I will ride my bike from home to Corbridge (50 mile round trip) just so I can call into Grants. Pies, quiches, cakes are the best I have had from any Bakery, anywhere.

@@lukehoneythunder hi Luke, no, i've never been. It seems to have a "feel" that everywhere used to have but is quickly disappearing. I looked in to visiting, it is quite easy but about £50 each for us so..

@@innertube47 I know exactly what you mean John and I think the same, a lot of places, well most places in fact have changed almost beyond recognition and it is very sad. I'm not far from Corbridge, well it's just over 20 mile away and on the train took 25 minutes and cost £4.50 return with a rail card. I'm just wondering, have you watched any of my other video's I've done quite a few and one day next week am going to York and I hope to have a video to show people from my little adventure.

@@lukehoneythunder hi luke, yes i’ve watched quite a few, i think i first came across you on gettr. I am in Selby so York is of course very familiar to me, go early if you can the streets are much nicer before all the bustle

@@innertube47 I just 5 minutes bought a train ticket to go to York one day next week, leaving Newcastle at 9.02 then return journey is 15.19 that gives me loads of time to have a good look around and I'm looking forward to it. The shambles is my favourite place in York. 🙂

AHH thanks very much, I went down to Saltburn by the sea on the N Yorkshire coast on Tuesday and recorded 144 video clips, I've not put a video together yet but will do soon. What an awesome place that is. 🙂

@@vaiman7777 ahhh Prudhoe, I know it well. Yes, I really do believe that the North East of England is "God's country" and truth be told I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I'm just wondering, have you watched any of my other videos? I love recording Buskers / street entertainers and have filmed some canny ones including the Dundee Legend "Fast Eddie" when I had a day out up there yesterday 😃 😂

You can get a train from Sunderland to either Hexham or Carlisle and they stop at Corbridge.
