If you listened his interview with Art Bell and others, Malachi Martin never said he left his priesthood rather he requested, and granted, to leave the Jesuits. His situation was unique but according to him he was a priest under special authority. Indeed, that part was a bit confusing. However, here fr. Murr claims at 33:00 Malachi Martin left the priesthood and later returned to active ministry. And yet Malachi Martin himself said he celebrated Mass and performed many many exorcisms. I understand his ministry could be have been private but that doesn't do justice the claim made by Fr. Murr since according to Fr. Malachi he never left his priesthood but rather only the order he belonged. In the meantime, since Fr. Murr knew Fr. Malachi Martin, more on him would be a good idea. There are so many subject matter to be discussed in light of what's happening in the Church and the world, at large. Thank you for all your work. God bless and keep up the good work!!

Just finished the interview. But what's intriguing is that Dr. Moynihan asked a very significant question and neither returned to it nor let fr. Murr deny it or affirm it. That question is about fr. Malachi's supposedly affair. We still want to hear fr. Murr's response on this matter. Dr. Moynihan could also ask if it's true that Fr. Malachi was living in New York with a woman? If so in what capacity??? I hope there's part two. Pax et Bonum.

@@rodneyrickard3763 In other words he never was dispensed from his vow of obedience. He answered directly to the Pope through the Cardinal. However, he was then under a Bishop in a diocese who gave him permission to do exorcism! How many times in his various interviews he mentioned that he would never do an exorcism without the authority of the Catholic Church…which implies being mandated by a Bishop in a diocese to do to which he submitted to by obedience. It seems that we don’t know the same Father Malachi Martin or that Father Malachi Martin was a liar!!! Thank you Rodney helping to settle this element. There is a lot of mystery surrounding his role in the activities that he was asked to do for the Church, namely in the USSR, which are shrouded with mystery. One thing for sure when he took a vow to secrecy he kept it!

Malachi Martin had masters and PHDs not just one, spoke 5 different languages and not only he was an extremely intelligent man , but prolific author who wrote like a prophet , completely understood the politics of his time and could predict the future of the church related to mankind’s destiny. He was an exorcist since in Cairo as an archeologist. He was trained in Rome and appointed as an official exorcist at the age of 30. He was a consultant to two popes in Vatican, had been given the sealed letter of Fatima to read and always maintained his influence in Vatican cause he wanted to know what’s happening with the future of his church. I’m not a Catholic , however I can recognize nobility, genius and originality in a man. God bless his soul 🙏🏻❤️

Can I get your honest opinion? I was given a copy of Malachi Martin’s book Windswept House around 2001 by an sspx priest. While reading it, I could see a shadow man in the corner of the room that would disappear when I looked at it directly. It got worse and I could feel the presence of the devil in a back room. It was at a petrol station that I was working at. It got so bad and scary that I had to stop and it all stopped. I thought at the time that this confirmed Malachi Martin. This same thing happened a few years later to a friend’s GF when she was reading books about Hinduism and how to interpret dreams. Skipping ahead, I came across Fr. Amorth’s book and he said this happens as a warning when you read evil books. But why did it happen to me with Malachi Martin?

@@user-ot5mi1uc1d the time period you are speaking about is when the most abuse by priest occurred. Things were not out front but behind closed doors. As of the 1970s, after Vatican 2, cases got less and less. But do you remember the time period when the church hierarchy abandoned the church and one performed a black mass? That is found in the gospels.

Fr. Malachi Martin (may he rest in peace...imho is a saint), was key in my returning to the RCC in 2017 after I listened to all the 12 hours of interviews between him and Art Bell. Topic: Possession and Exorcism. I read most of his books during these interview sessions over a few weeks and began to immerse myself in all things "Catholic"...was raised in traditional Latin mass in 50's/early 60's, Catholic school with Carmelite nuns were our teachers, I became horrified as a 13 year old in 1969 when "the Vat II changes occurred." I would never set foot in a RCC until 2017, AFTER reading 'Windswept House.' That did it for me. A devout friend led me to a FSSP apostolate nearby. I made it to the 12:15 low mass. Sat at the back and wept. I was HOME! Spoke to the priest afterwards. Made the appt. Now lead a sacramental life. May God reward that holy priest, Fr. Malachy Martin, exorcist, ex-Jesuit. He was brilliant and he got his message out loud and clear. Many scoffed at him, but he was right over the target. It was an infiltration. Just like the infiltration in our American government. Deep church. Deep state.

Wow, your story is compelling! I knew nothing of Catholicism though I was baptized a Catholic in ‘65 then went to Catholic schools in the 70s but there was no catechesis. Nothing was taught. I went to the Traditional Latin Mass in 2015 and I was home. I heard that Father Martin felt it best to describe the infiltration of the church through fictional novels, such as ‘Windswept House’ and it was his purpose through fiction to lead people to that truth and in many ways despite that truth lead them back to the Catholic Church, so it seems like it it worked and you came back. He was an amazing man with an incredible talent.

Art Bell was the most popular talk show host in the world. 180 million listeners. His #1 most popular guest was Malachi Martin. Malachi was above all else, kind, could explain complicated theological issues with ease and simplicity. My favorite book was “The Keys of this Blood “ His story about the Freemasons in Europe and Pope Leo 13 and his vision of Satan asking God for a 100 years to destroy the Church was amazing. God, in His mercy gave us two Polish saintly popes for the beginning of the twentieth century and the end of the twentieth century-bookends to protect the Church for the 100 years-THAT was amazing information told in such a way that only a master storyteller can tell. It explains so much!

Thank you for this podcast edition. I fully concur with Father Murr's statements about the characteristcs and marks of the traditional Jesuit : intellectually gifted men, men who can stand alone and function independently if required. I have two relatives who were Jesuit priests. Both men were siblings. Their father was employed in the Guinness brewery in Dublin, and both of his sons joined the Jesuit Order and were ordained as priests. One of these men went on to become the Provincial Head of the Australian Jesuit province. He ended up leaving the order and he married an ex-nun. The other man remained a priest. Both men were highly educated men and were ordained in the late 1940's and early/mid 1950's, but both men were also highly involved in working for "social equality". Thanks for this edition, fascinating and informative as always

In 2004, Fr. Vincent O'Keefe SJ, former Vicar General of the Jesuits and past President of Fordham University, affirmed through the DC-based Father Tom Widner SJ, Secretary for Communications of the U.S. Jesuit Conference, that Malachi Martin was granted a dispensation, called a _rescript,_ by Pope Paul VI from his vows in the Jesuit order except for chastity. After publication of *"The Jesuits: The Society of Jesus and the Betrayal of the Roman Catholic Church"* (1988), the Jesuits spread rumors claiming Malachi Martin was defrocked and expelled from the Church. Martin denied this until his 1999 death. Father O'Keefe was the Vicar General of the Society in 1965, at the time of Father Malachi Martin's departure from Rome. *_The fact that the Jesuits confirmed Fr. Martin was a valid priest his ENTIRE LIFE and was not laicized was a radical change in Jesuit policy concerning Father Malachi Martin - they acknowledged his status as a valid, lifelong priest._* Why Father O'Keefe set the record straight on Malachi Martin five years after Martin's death in 1999 is unknown; he died at age 92 at the Jesuit infirmary at Fordham University. *DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE NEXT TIME...*

Fr Martin always said his books were "faction," some fiction written in, but he said 98 or 99% was true. The fiction part was names he changed, and a few side stories of fictitious characters for interest. There IS a woman who gave testimony that she WAS the girl in that black mass and confirmed it happened. He also claimed he was never laicized. After reading Windswept House, I'm convinced that Fr Martin is in part (of an amalgamated character), the young priest who is behind the Iron Curtain post-war.

Father Malachi (Mal-a-kee) Martin never stopped being a priest. He was not happy with the changes introduced by Vatican II and wanted to step back, but not stop being a priest. He was released from his vow of poverty in order to earn a living, and was always assigned to a Bisphop that he had to answer to. @MF-rp9ox A priest does not need to be incardinated UNLESS he is to be attached to a diocese or another Order. He was NEVER defrocked or laicized! Always a priest! An unincardinated priest still retains his priestly faculties and, if given permission by a Bishop, can also perform exorcisms, incardinated or not. He can also say private Masses, can give Extreme Unction, and hear Confessions, at the very least, in emergencies.

Whether you believe in possession or not, that is one of the most terrifying books, due to the psychological aspect. No pea soup, no head spinning. Pure demonic terror. The Devil invites people to sin regularly. All day, every day. He seeks permanent residence through sublety. We accept through weakness. Pride, Greed, Wrath, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, and Sloth. The seven deadly sins. Human nature. The easy choices.

Also, Church Militant claims to have been sent documents from the Church in the US where this occurred, sent by someone within the Church, who had access.

Fr. Murr stated that what happened in the U.S. was true! That’s where the horrendous “actions”if I can even call it that took place.😫 He doesn’t see the “Citadel” event happening in the Pauline chapel. Doesn’t mean it didn’t take place somewhere else perhaps on a smaller scale.

20:54 The key concept to Christian revolution and Christian Justice is "My Kingdom is not of this World". Revolution to build a "workers' paradise" is outside the bounds of the Christian Spirit, moreover, this is impossible. But "revolution" to right real and ongoing wrongs, and restore the primacy of the family and the hearth, is totally in keeping with the Christian Spirit.

Also, he performed exorcisms. He was a most remarkable man. There is much you left out. He continued a relationship with John Paul II..... and you should inform yourself and find out how far he went as far as titles go. Fascinating man.

@7oneofseven... Sadly, it's much worse than you say: the crisis is of APOSTASY, as Fr. Murr directly stated… and explicit heresy. 💡 Deceiver pope francis personally & officially taught >DeFide defined, condemned heresy on the Eucharist that Trent directly specified.< In »Desiderio Desideravi« virtually word-for-word francis states to be correct and of the Faith >exactly what Trent directly-and Infallibly-condemned.< There's Not any gray here: it's direct, in-your-face denial and rejection not merely of an article of Faith, but of THE Most Central core of the Faith which concerns the Holy Eucharist and its reception. 💡And that's Not even touching on francis's publicly stated blasphemous heresy against the Immaculate Conception of Mary, a whole other subject. These are just two among others of what pope francis and his agents, aka apostate bishops, support. 💡💡And none of that even touches the IMMORAL teachings of pope francis, eg. about "cohabitating couples" being in a marriage and >having "the grace [of the Sacrament] of marriage."(!)< The approved apparitions of Fatima and Akita warned of dire times. 💫St. Francis of Assisi solemnly warned about a pope who would be "a destroyer." And Ven. Archbp. Sheen decades ago explained that a bad man does personal sin but an evil man causes or leads others to sin. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on us. 💫 Padre Pio said the Rosary is "the weapon!" So… many more we need to pray.

If this helps, when you are praying the Rosary, contemplate and meditate on the first three prayers Faith, Hope and Charity. Spend extra time on each one individually and I think you'll start getting answers for strength and foresight/clarity. Ask Our Blessed Mother questions, discuss your concerns and she'll guide you. Sometimes I'll pray the entire Rosary relating either Faith, Hope or Charity with that daily Mystery. One thing about our wonderful Mother is, she always knows how to console us when we're hurting❤‍🩹

Unfortunately the slow and fleshly minded can never really grasp Fr Martin and will misinterpret him because their perception and intellect is weak. Such people are the ones who've made all sorts of false accusations against him. It appears Fr Martin wanted to get out and write books to alert the Catholic world due to what he was privy to yet could not openly and freely disclose.

I so enjoyed this. I first heard of Malachi Martin on Coast To Coast AM with Art Bell. But since then I have been fascinated with the life of Father Martin and I’m learning something new all of the time about him. It was very interesting to hear about the history of The Jesuits even before getting into the real Topic of Father Martin. Thank You very much for sharing this. So is The Windswept House a work of Fiction or Non-Fiction? Obviously it’s a work of Fiction no matter what it is claimed to be. So what I’m understanding is his Fictional Work was a way for him to try to get across that there was something very diabolically wrong with the church and this was a way for him to do that without coming out and saying it outright. Isn’t it so strange how everything always comes back to money? It’s amazing how a person with enough money, or a group of people with enough money, or even a government with the right amount of money can cause so much change. And it’s not good change it’s change that is plain out nothing more than doing what needs done to change what has always been taught and even change the scripture into something that it’s not. And the sad part is that it’s happening and I think that it’s came to the point of saying you can take this amount of money and you can do us a favor and you have the power to persuade this or that. But if you don’t take this money and you don’t agree with it, then who knows how many people we can get to say this or that and you will be the next person going down for it.

"Peruvian Jesuit Gustavo Gutierrez" is written in that form in virtually every citation. That could be a genuine mistake on the part of Fr. What is diabolical is Martin’s role as a double agent assisting the Rabbis and the AJC. No wonder his books were so twisted, his behavior was highly manipulative. Please read E. Michael Jones’, The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and have this same discussion with him. He is way ahead on this subject. Nostra Aetate is the key to why the Church is in the position of subordinating the Gospels and making the Jews dominant today. Start there and then revisit Martin’s fears about the coming storm. He helped to make that happen! Jones is the premier scholar on all of this.

I have to somewhat disagree with Fr. Murr's take on Malachi Martin. Through countless interviews, especially with Art Bell, I truly believe Fr. Martin was not only a visionary, but saw too many things while working behind the scenes in Vatican II that disturbed him. Though Fr. Murr may have known Fr. Martin in his later life, one does not truly know the workings of the other intimately. I believe Malachi Martin when he said he wrote his books incognito of the real persons involved, but that the events were true. His book "Hostage to the Devil" is so frightening and realistic that I was only able to read the first two chapters before recalling my own experience with the powers of the spiritual war being raged. My respect, however, goes out to Fr. Murr for his take and opinion on Fr. Malachi Martin. Prayers will continue to be said for the church and it's clergy.

I’m talking about the pedophilia and sexual mishandling of young people placed in their trust that has been going on for decades and ignored by the church and the bishops and the arch bishops. The day I hear a discussion where priest the fact that the church is deeply wounded, that’s the day I’ll start to go back to church. Many of us are complicated. I can understand an individual deciding that leaving the ashes on their forehead was virtue-signaling and decide to wash it off. On the other hand another individual may decide it is a reminder to them of the words of the priest or that it serves as some type of witness. Especially today, the fast as done by the Church rules is not such a big deal in general for a particular individual it might be a big deal. I take the Gospel message to be don't virtue signal. Dr. Moynihan, this was a fascinating interview. It would be appreciated in the future if you could please give Fr. Murr more time to talk and talk less over him. As a student who graduated from a Jesuit college in the 1990s, I can relate to some of what you both discussed. To add, the “social Justice” movement overtook any semblance of Christianity in our school by the time I was a student. The first week of school I was introduced to gay pride month, where condoms were available on every residence hall door for students. It was known some of the priests were gay. Some did live in the student residence halls for access to students outside “office hours”, which was a neat way to develop a more personal relationship with the priests. The lay faculty my school hired was always very liberal, hired to proclaim social Justice works in all of us, and he was effective. I have memories of a retreat he accompanied us on where the leader sang in a circle of fire and prayed for China’s Mao! I was young and naive about Communism then, but knew something was off. Didn’t know enough to speak out against that. This same former campus minister espouses outright Marxist and Communist ideals openly in his social media pages, so this all makes sense. And our Jesuit administration was aware of all of this and supported it. Since graduating, I never once supported our alumni association. Made some good friends there, but I am probably the only one I know who has remained a practicing Catholic of our large friend group. This is also true for friends I had in other years: those who remained Catholic are of a very liberal bent…supporting ideals such as abortion and openly espousing anti-Semitic platitudes such as “from the land to the sea”. Our Jesuits were known to possess an enviable liquor room at their retreat house, where students would sometimes plunder when invited there for retreats.
