This was actually a plot made up by dean and Jeff to teach Annie a lesson in trust and friendship, which jeff ends up telling annie and they plan to pretend to have annie kill jeff to teach the dean about messing with people, and then proffesor proffessorson and a cop work together and have the cop shoot the teacher to teach them all a lesson in gun safety. at this point it can be assumed everyone was in on the proffesor being fake

I still think it would have been great if Jeff actually was taking a conspiracy class and was above board with it and everything and the episode instead turned into annie and the dean being convinced that it was all a convoluted ploy on Jeff's part to get out of taking a 'real' class
