Lived in Worcester for almost 30 years. I had been there as a kid. Ok teen :) I wasn't scared but my friends were. Beautiful place day or night. :)

Spider Gates is most definitely haunted I went there many times and the feeling there is very eerie and unsettling. I lived in Worcester, Massachusetts 4 over 15 years and I have been to that cemetery only once and its the most creepiest place I been too in New England and living in New England I been to alot of haunted places

When you took us to Mercys' grave and told the truth, I developed so much respect for you. As one man, you put the decency back in Resting In Peace. I really love cemeteries to the point where I even go in the deep of winter. I learn so much from the stories the stones tell. You really know your stuff before you put it out there. I'd like to extend the many thanks prior stated. I find the history refreshing. I have been here many times as I am a native of the area and have heard all the rumors mentioned and then some. As Kathy has already pointed out, for those not from the area, the town's name is pronounced, "Les~ter" (Leicester) and adjoining city of "Woo~sta" (Worcester).

I went there once. No sightings of paranormal activity, but had a very cold and creepy feeling. Worth checking out if you are a believer.

Very informative! Never been there but did go to the Quabbin cemetery. Did you go there? Very interesting stones there. Dont really believe in haunted places but have to say that my camera stopped working when I tried to photograph a little girls stone. I replaced the batteries and it still did not work then I heard a weird howl which I am sure was someones dog or coyote but it was creepy. The camera worked before I went there and when I left. The whole visit gave me the creeps. I Never went back there yet. That was years ago.

@Richard. There is a metal gate along the road side which prevents cars from entering. I parked on the side of the road nervously and entered the grounds. I have to admit I thought about my car more than once during the visit. But luckily there is not much traffic down on Mannville St. @Kellie Thanks so much!!!

Very nice video. I'm from around the area and so I've been to this cemetery on a number of occasions. One thing is that the town name is pronounced ''Less-ter''. Another legend is that a little boy on a bicycle will follow you down the path but when you reach the cemetery he will have mysteriously dissapeared. +Steve nadeau I also heard this! that the original gates are in a museum somewhere! but where I can't remember, because they were designed by a famous artist.

hi my name is Andrew, I lived in Leicester for 9 1/2 years at Naz i know all about spider gates cemetery. The girl that was murdered there was in the woods not at the cemetery rumors say she got lost & was eating by a bear others say a hunter shot her by accident. The cave is a long way away from that cemetery in the woods. I found bones inside the cave its located at least a half mile down the back trail of the cemetery i went inside that cave by myself wile C.N watched sorry not giving full name, It was about 5 at night still sunny he gave me a flashlight to see in there cuz its really dark inside that cave and it is actually a bear cave very thin outside about 3 feet high inside and about 10/10 around inside. If you cross that cave it will look like grass on top with a lump and it looks like a igloo made of rock stay to the left of the trail the trail will stop you have to go straight into the grassy erea in the middle of this huge field it should still be there i hope. Also watch out at night around 8pm, there is 2 spirits in the cemetery i have seen. First it is a lady in a white dress looks about 16 and a spirit man in all black that is located once you walk in he will be to the right outside of the rock wall in the woods he has a black hat on as well. hope this helps...piece.

i live in the area and i remember the stories being if you passed through all 7 gates, death himself would greet you at the final gate, and while the truth behind this is debatable... there are recorded heart attacks at the final gate, enough so that the town took the gates down to stop people from tresspassing at night to attempt it... i've never heard of someone pulling an evp/orbs/poltergeists out of the site, but feeling cold and like someone is watching you is common, even during daylight hours

Where do you get all this hocus pocus from? I lived down the road from there in a boys home, us kids went there all the time and never saw a ghost or goblins. I was ten at the time, and now I'm 73. I have been going down there now for over 50 years. I have been down there in the daytime and at night. And one time on a dare I went down there on Holloween Night, at midnight. Was I scared yes but it was because it was dark and some times assholes go down there and lite little firers and do whatever they down there? And I believe there is no proof that there is ghost down there. And if there is show me.

I lived in Worcester, MA back in the 60s and 70s, this was a favorite drinking spot back then for high school age kids. the gates in this video are not the originals, those were much larger went all the way to the top of the stones these newer gates hang on now. Those did look much like a spider and hence the name, if my memory serves me right, but it has been over 45 years since I was there. I can only say what I know for sure so won't say anything any further.

i knew this place well. i used to ride my dirtbike here all the time. i rode by here a 1000 Times. one day i stopped out front. i think to have a cigarette. after a minute or two i felt really uneasy; kinda like i was being watched. i can't explain exctacy. its was over 20 years ago. i remember flying off on my bike and feeling i was being chased. no lie. i never told this story. just creeped me out

Been there recently,mosquitos drove us out we got maybe 15 minutes in...um we took pics of the trees and recorded ourselves,u defly hear a moan and wat looks like a face in the tree but the moan is real deal...spookier when i got home and could not stop itchin' and i ended up saging myself n house the next day cuz i couldn't stop itchin'.....

I've visited spider gates and got 200 years of history in 8 sec real time photos yes the boy did hang himself I have a photo of him fact on girl murderer I have her photo to fact and in the picture her eyes move with you mommaduke is still raining queen I have her photo as well photo of the portal of the hanging tree is also photographed

I would suggest a better way to video this type of visit, very choppy and wavy, otherwise really interesting
