Interesting, for me its the exact opposite. A false live blade is the best of both worlds imo. You get the cool design and better balance/ weight distribution, bitehandle awareness of a liveblade and the safety of a trainer. I usually dont use knifes exept for cooking so the utility thing doesnt matter for me

I really like the false liveblade. Because I like the look of some liveblade, however, I will never ever flip them. Normally, I dull my blades down if I flip them.

I do prefer trainers to false live blades, but I like false live blades too. I think to someone like you who genuinely enjoys flipping live, the appeal is probably just lost. But I'm a person who pretty much just refuses to flip live because I hate getting cut _that_ much, so any live blades I own are dulled. False live blades are nice cuz, well, I don't have to dull them lol. The Hydra is pretty neat, I would consider getting one if I didn't just buy an Orion 😎
