@@planetz5953 didn't know you had to fight a black fighter to be the best lmao, if you have a belt then he's coming for you that is all there is to it (don't be bringing that race bs here). But to your observation they both have really high IQ, Fultons an incredible mover , however inoue's constant body attack is what stops a lot of movers from their tracks. Fultons also really good at hugging whenever a fighter tends to close the distance, like floyd it's a very high IQ move. I'm not sure how that fight will turn out, but I do see it being a 55-45 favoring Inoue Inoue at whatever position he is on has incredible balance to throw a shot, and with constant body attacks in the early round, I just don't see Fulton brushing inoue off especially bc he lacks the power to do so.

I feel like even if Inoue doesn’t move up, it doesn’t hurt him financially. The difference between him and Might Mouse is that Inoue is catered to the East (Japan). In Japan they focus on the lower weight classes because that’s where they thrive. They recently just had their first middle weight champion (Murata) after so long. That’s why his fights are at 6 AM here, cause those aren’t meant for us. When Kambosos and Haney fought in Australia, they made the fight mid day here and morning there. I would love for Inoue to move up though. A lot of American fans are just finding out about him and saying “he has it easy” due to him not being in a division not dominated by the west. W video btw

Bias towards Western fighters is definitely a huge reason. The amount of talent in the lower divisions that is unspoken of amongst Westerners is criminal.

Inoue wants to please his countryman first he has stated that many times here in Japan, he fights for his family and his country and for Belts. As for money, Japan forks out the most prize money for the lower weight divisions by far, so if he wants to make big $$$ he would be stupid to travel outside of Japan, who cares about making a few fans in other countries? If people like him and follow the lower weights they will watch him.

@restitvtororbis5330
@restitvtororbis5330 Жыл бұрын
@@darthclone74lbs difference would probably be a small enough jump for him to do well even if he took a fight on short notice and didn't have time to build himself into the weight. Fighters have won short notice fights at much bigger weight disadvantages, hell, Deonte Wilder almost koed fury at like 220 in their first fight, and i think fury outweighed his by about 50 lbs in all 3 fights. Wilder basically walks into the ring (without weight cutting) within spitting distance of cruiserweight, yet is still undefeated outside of the fury fights. I'm not suggesting that inoue is even a similar case, but i don't think that a 4 lbs jump is going to tank his record on its own. In fact i think moving up might actually make him more dangerous because i imagine that he's probably put on as much muscle as he feasibly can while still being able to make the weight he's at now, so it's possible that after a few months, maybe a year of building up muscle, he'll be pushing the limit for how much he can cut at a higher weight class too. 118lbs inoue has scary power and the skills to use it, now imagine him adding another 4lbs of muscle to that power. He seems disciplined enough to not just move up to make the cut easier, if he moves up in weight, he's going to move up the power level with him.

During his post-fight interview in Japan he basically has committed himself to moving up to super-bantemweight. There are two reasons why he hasn't already: 1) He is still in the process of putting on more sustainable weight to handle the higher weight class; 2) He received the offer to unify the bantamweight titles for the first time in boxing history. I think the weight increase showed when he uncharacteristically missed weight on his first attempt. He is now on the verge of being too big for the weight class.

@@elel2608 Yes it's because there is Naoya Inoue the monster, that's the whole point of becoming undisputed to be the one best in the division. You think Bantamweight is worst because Naoya is making his opponent look like an amateur who doesn't know how to punch. Check out the Omar Narvaez fight he was the Argentinean legend was coming from 11 successful title defense streaks, his confidence was sky high, and Inoue make him look like a journey man he was not able to punch. Whatever division Inoue has been he was the dominant one. If you see rest of the division, there is always a debate of who is the best of the best there, but who is the best in the Bantamweight division there is no debate and no question, Naoya has beat 6 top bantamweights and there is no one in the line now.

Inoue-san's frame is just too small for 126. I think he can get some pay-days and recognition at 122, especially if he gets in there before Fulton and MJ fight (if that ever happens), and can fight both of them. If Inoue cleans out 122 also, pretty hard to not consider him P4P #1. Very fun guy to watch. I love is ninja-kill-bot style. The UFC traded arguably the most dominant champion in their history for a guy whose current claim to fame is being on the wrong end of a Cuban missile, breaking the record for the fastest ufc ko, then getting tkoed by a youtuber. Awsome that you mention Ring magazine's rankings! 2 things you missed, 1 Inoue has constantly said that the undisputed fight would be his last at bantamweight, 2 is that Figueroa already made his debut at featherweight so a matchup with Inoue is not possible at 122

Or, also, a video like this would be good enough to possibly jump start a trend of people coming to watch Inoue's fights. People who were unaware of him, but watch your channel, or people's channels who are similar to yours, can get recommendations to the talents and efforts/showings of Inoue and now be informed and possibly intrigued to watch his bouts. You can also just spread the word to other big boxing KZfaq channels, or across multiple social media platforms. Remember, there's been a lot of great things in this world that at first we're overlooked, until somebody started the trend and brought notice to them, to which they blew up. He doesn't have to only move up in weight, but he can also just have people like you spread the word of his great talent.

Good video! The lowest weight classes will usually get lower numbers this has always been the case in all fighting sports. I do think he has a big following in Japan and outside of US. But you are right that in order to really explode he needs to move up and fight big names. Sadly this is unfair as he will eventually loose just cuz his smaller size like Loma did when he went up. But It’s not really like the Mighty Mouse case, nobody will cut him and he has an entire country behind him. I love MM but what hurt his carrier a lot was not taking super fights when they asked him to fight TJ etc. I get that he would be in a disadvantaged in size but sometimes you got to go for it he had many opportunities to become a double champ and I wish he would have took it. I think he had a good shot at beating TJ at that time but know we never know.

McDonnel who was unbeaten for 10 years , then Held the WBA title and posted 6+ title defenses. Inoue started at 108 beat Hernandez for the title then immediately moved up TWO weight classes And challenged Omar Narvaes The WBO champ who posted 11 title defenses in 4 years. HES A PROBLEM

Butler got finished by a liver shot, also didn’t mention how Inoue got his orbital broken in the first Donaire fight. All he mentioned was how donaire made him bleed 😭😭. I actually think Inoue has another massive challenge thats 1 or 2 weights under him, bam rodriguez, right now Inoue wins against jesse rodriguez, but bam is only 22, hes super young and for what he has accomplished so far with so little experience really shows the tons and tons of potential he has, in maybe like 3-4 years i say bam would have the skill to match Inoue, maybe even best him in their fight, plus bam even said he plans to someday go all the way up to super featherweight so im sure he would not have an issue with fighting Inoue in a higher weight, trust me bam is not one to be overlooked and im sure he will be up there in the pound for pound lists
@cookiebot3369
@cookiebot3369 Жыл бұрын
Bam won his first world title when he was 22 and Inoue when he was 21 so theyre both equally talented. 115 weight class is honestly overrated and Bam should be able to clean it out. Bam should have much more trouble at 118 because the mid fighters at 118 are like the best fighters at 115. Bam should move to 118 when hes like 25 or 26 but i dont believe that he would ever be able to face Inoue because they have a 7 year age gap and by the time Inoue is like 35, Inoue would be at 126 or 130 while Bam would still try to clean out 118.

Inoue will face with the same problem at 122lbs. Between timing and promoters/fighters ducking fights, he'll probably spend the next three years struggling to get high profile bouts as he works his way up to 126lbs. He's already stated he feels comfortable fighting up to featherweight. His natural weight is around 60kg so the real question may be if there will be enough money/incentive to entice Inoue to move up beyond his natural weight class while he's still in his prime. I don't know what motivates Inoue but he has the opportunity to create a lasting legacy if he tests himself at 135lbs.

Because he avoids the true sharks of that division. Imagine being undisputed by fighting a washed up 40 year old boxer and a C-Class champion who got his belt because his opponent used the sauna. the boxer Paul Butler supposed to fight before Inoue is the same boxer Inoue is trying to avoid like the plague.

Inoue has hit that point where you get ready to cross the line from being a great boxer to a legendary boxer. Pacquiao had to cross that line, Roy Jones Jr had to cross that line, Hopkins crossed that line, Canelo crossed that line, etc. I've seen the arguments saying "he doesn't need to move up because he's already a household name in Asian countries" or "he's not meant for the western audience". If you're a true competitor and want to reach legendary status, you don't just fight domestically, you fight internationally so you can be a household name all over the world. Want to be the world's best? Prove it and fight the world's best. All of the previous boxers I've mentioned all moved up and proved themselves. Now it's Inoue's turn.

The issue with Mighty Mouse isn’t that he’s going to be forgotten, he’s consensus top 4-5 in mma goat discussions. His legacy was forcibly shifted because his own fans didn’t want to pay the money to watch his own cards. He wasn’t as financially viable as the next guy up the problem was the ufc needed the next guy up to actually win. Henry did and they sent DJ as fast as they could
