One cool tip about tzi tzi ya ku: tzi tzi yaku like to collect shiny shells and bring them to their sleeping place so whenever he feels threatened he would run into his sleeping place and use his flash, his flash will reflect from the shells and flash the whole room, one thing the devs didnt think about was that players would have already broken the photophores so when he runs back to sleep he cant use the shells to his advantage.

The Pink Rathian was my second wall in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, after Diablos. I always saw her as the scarier of the Rath subspecies and love seeing you highlight that. Speculation on my part, but I imagine the pink color comes from certain genes being activated that are only active in the red male of the 'normal' rath. This leads to increased size and aggression, and a brighter pigmentation that serves as warning coloration. While green Rathians rely on camouflage and the protection of a mate to hide their nests, Pink Rathians are large and intimidating enough to protect a nest on their own. I imagine this is why you don't see them in the same areas as Azure Rathalos, as the Pink Rathians are not keen on sharing territory with a male outside mating season.

i like to think that male namielles are really small, which would reflect that deep sea fish part of namielle. also, namielle's wings remind me of blanket octopuses, which have infamously large size differences between males and females. but due to namielle being an elder dragon, and thus more intelligent, I like to think the relationships between males and females aren't nearly as grotesque as our real world deep sea fish and that there is a strong bond between mated pairs.

The Coral Highlands is 100% the most beautifully alien place I've ever seen in a video game. The fact that it's ultimately just a coral reef outside of the water does nothing to change that. Plus, the dynamic it has with the Rotten Vale is incredible - the fact that the Highlands exist not in spite of the Vale, but BECAUSE of it, is a superb example of the circle of nature. When life dies and falls into the Vale, it rots away, and freeing up the nutrients (and bioenergy) that the life above can thrive upon. Small tip - the thin, somewhat donut-shaped corals that you can't lay traps upon (like the one Tzitzi walked across at 07:18) CAN be used as environmental traps. By flinching a monster while it's standing on it, it will drop into the coral and struggle there for about ten or so seconds as if it had fallen into a Pitfall Trap...and it will do quite so a lot. On my first Legiana hunt, the poor sucker fell in about three or four times.

25:18 One observation I have made about lightning, is that warmer air is more conductive, as it is less dense. This means that if one can control the temperature of collumns of air during a thunderstorm, you can control where Lightning Strikes. Alternatively, if you can disperse a metallic or conductive powder through the air in a pattern, it may conduct lightning all the way down. I posit that, similar to zinogre, Kirin's fur is home to a mutually beneficial cohabitant, one that is smaller than the eye can see, and immune to electricity entirely. These tiny, particle-like beings(possibly microorganisms) may even use Electrical Discharge as part of their metabolism, and as such be attracted to it. And so they gather around the electrically-charged Kirin and its Thunderhorn, and when enough have built up in the atmosphere, a thunderstorm is created, which passively feeds the airborne being, these beings, and thus the thunderstorms, Follow Kirin around, simply following the electrical charges they need to digest nutrients, or possibly feed off of entirely. And so, when a Kirin is threatened, it discharges electricity from its thunderhorn or the fur on its hide, Attracting the beings, which involuntarily conduct bolts of lightning from the storm they gather. This goes in line with the Thunder Trade-off Hypothesis, as the majority of generation of the charge is done by the tiny beings making friction by seeding clouds, and wjat little electricity the kirin produces is in its horn or its fur. Thus the kirin directs the producer of the lightning by baiting it along with its horn, and its hide may be metallic and hard in order to conduct lightning away from its internal organs and nervous system. This would also explain the odd Glow that hunters have witnessed appear before a kirin's lightning strike, as the charges released by the kirin attract clouds of the tiny organism before enough gather to call a lightning strike. This is, however, just a theory, and will remain that way untill proven. Proof may indeed be impossible to gather; as capturing a kirin is all but impossible, and would require vast barriers and fortifications to be set up rapidly around a live kirin, much more difficult than with, say, a slow, predictable Zorah Magdaros, and may require slowly entrapping an entire region during a thunderstorm; which would be nigh impossible and require far more resources than the guild is likely to set aside just to understand a creature that can be hunted or repelled, and to find proof of a hypothesis that may be entirely incorrect. I am confident, however, that my theory is at least partly true, and if any highly-skilled hunters of High Rank or Master Rank are willing to attempt to capture air samples from the moment before or after a kirin's thunder strikes, You may see my quest on the board alongside any kirin hunting quests that come about in The New World, as I am stationed there with the 4th fleet.

In monster hunter rise there is a similar place called the coral palace which is home to narwa and ibushi, but only home to them, meaning if you consider the coral still standing there then the amount of bio energy ibushi and narwa create and hold must be immense to the point where the supposedly underwater fauna growing around their nesting grounds are able to survive on land similar to the coral in the coral highlands

I stumbled upon your channel by a sheer luck. I never played in any MH game but the monster designs always tempted me to try out MH:World. Due to real life and other stuff I never bought the game and I always found the armor sets in the game to be incredibly ugly. Since next MH was annouced I thought to myself that it's time to buy MH game. And your docu-series is a perfect way to learn something about different monsters/monster types!

My theory is that kirins horns produce electromagnetic waves and have electric organs within, allowing it to spread its lighting and call from the sky. My other theory is that using electric organs in its horns it shoots put electricity onto the ground which, combined with the generally conductive nature of its environments, attracts lightning from the sky. However, I'm not a scientist so my theories could be utter nonsense.

Even a normal Rathian is physically stronger than Rathalos, like birds of prey the female is larger and stronger. The reason why Rathalos is a "tougher monster" is because its skill in aerial combat makes it a more dangerous opponent for both hunters and rival predators.
