JB deserves it way more than Kawhi his numbers (27, 7, 3.5) are better than Kawhi (24, 7, 4) Brown is a good defender and he actually played games. It’s a regular season award, and the amount you played really matters. Also everyone would take JB over Kawhi now, he’s younger, less injury prone and just as good.

If You are putting Kawhi despiste his 52 games played, then Book also deserves to be above many of those players.

As a raptors fan, this might just be bias. But despite the TEAM struggles this year, Pascal Siakam was the only mf keeping us in the hunt. He was the only consistent players until like march or something. First few weeks he was like top in the MVP ladder. I wholeheartedly believe he should have made an all NBA team purely for taking a dysfunctional roster and keeping them relevant. The fact he was 66 points lower than the next lowest is truly incredible.

Shai put up better numbers than Dmitch, and debatably just as good (if not better) numbers than Steph, while also playing better defense than both of them. But I think the main thing is the supporting cast. Go look at that roster and remember that Shai had them at the 6th seed at some point late in the season, and they finished 5 games away from 4th. Just looking at “10th seed” doesn’t do this Justice. Shai had them WAY over exceeding expeditions, especially with Chet’s injury

I agree with the change to positionless. But there absolutely needs to be a minimum game threshold. As is - Players can become eligible for a tonne more money if they make these teams at certain points throughout their career imagine getting in having played 60% of the season and getting that reward over a guy who was marginally worse but played 90% of the season. But in all reality the financial benefits of making these teams (or getting other awards) should be bonuses in the year that you make the team/receive the award. Bonuses that shouldn’t impact salary/luxury cap figures for the team. Hopefully this would also ensure every one is trying to be the best player than can be every year.

In my eyes if you don’t make the play ins it’s you shouldn’t be able to make the first team. Just my opinion though. I think Steph should be first team.
