So you’re wrong about giannis. Theres no better player having a better season. remember last year when nobody would silence themselves about jokic efficiency? Well…. Giannis is the first player to average 30+ on 60+% In fact, since December giannis is 31/12/7 on 61% and 70% from the line. 81% from the line during 4th quarters. His TS is at 65%. He owns the leagues 2 highest scoring games this season and he’s missed just 1 game. If people were using their own brains and not relying on media to influence their decisions, everyone would be stunned that giannis isn’t leading the race. It’s disrespectful 🤷‍♀️

Giannis and SGA have identical numbers in volume and efficiency. About the same efficiency as Jokic THIS season. Last year, he was FAR MORE efficient.

SGA is putting up his numbers (31/6/6 compared to Giannis’ 31/11/6) on 55% (compared to GAs 61%) Which mirrors the “terrible” efficiency that giannis averaged last season which the media claimed should exclude him from the MVP conversation. So when giannis shoots 55%, he’s excluded. When SGA shoots 55% he’s deserving. Jokic shot 63% last season. 5% higher than this season. Giannis shot 55% in 2021 and 2022 but was deemed to be “struggling with efficiency” in 2022. Hmm. 🧐 As for THIS season, giannis again ties/leads Jokic and SGA in true shooting after dipping .3% below Jokic for one game. All of them beat embiid in this category whose ts is 64%. If the bucks giannis-less pummeling by the Cavs didn’t show you all who the MVP is, you’ll never understand. In the last matchup for the Cavs giannis put up 34/16/6. Per 6 assists giannis generates 16 points. The bucks team consists of giannis playmaking, passing, assisting, scoring, rebounding, defending, communicating, shot blocking/contesting/altering, pacing the game, etc. the team is struggling terribly but riding on Giannis‘ (injured) shoulders to the 2 seed. Put some respect on his name. That’s all I’m saying.

Even though Giannis is in my top 3 fav player in the league right now I don't see him winning because he is not liked and his game is not flashy and hasn't changed enough since his past map season, even if he is the mvp he won't have it because he is not a showman enough for the NBA

Nikola Jokic is not playing for stats and is easily the most valuable to his team out of any player in the league. The voters could decide stats matter a lot, but one thing they don't take into considderation which I think you put too much emphasis on is team success. This is an individual award and there has been plenty of outliers. Not saying it doesn't improve your chances, but it's certainly less important than most factors

You can argue the same thing for Embiid. The Sixers are 23-6 if he plays and 3-7 when he doesn’t. The only reason people refuse to accept it is because of his playoff failures, which is acceptable.

Embiid doesn't deserve mvp if he misses so many games. durability is a HUGE factor in a players VALUE and it's the most valuable player award. not tryna take away from his stats but imo you have to play almost a whole season for it to matter.

Joke-ic and Donkey-Chick suck on defense. At times, Joke-ic looks like an absolute clown on defense. They don't belong in the MVP conversation. Embiid and SGA are two-way players and beasts on both ends. SGA is a little better on offense, Embiid is just the best offensive player in the league today. Offense > Defense in today's NBA so Embiid wins.

Yep, putting up great numbers , lifting his team to do the same, doesn't trample on weak teams to artificially boost his stats. He is easily the best player in the league for a 4th year. Oh how I would love if the nuggets went back to back to show just how corrupt the mvp voting has been last year, and presumably this year
