And with Theiss also. Not a Zu hater, but not a Zu fan. Actually I find Zu to be the weakest link in this team. If Theiss and Mann can hustle the boards, maybe Zu can be contaminated and toughen up his presence in the game. But those pick and rolls are on Harden’s credit - and on Westbrook’s, before the Harden trade. But if the Clippers actually try to trade Zu, my bet would be Neemias Queta. That guy is hungry to play and the *ucking Celtics just don’t pass him the ball on the pick and roll. Zu looks like an armed and legged snail at times. Well, maybe I’m technically a hater, but I would like to see him hustle harder

This may not even be their final form man. They got PJ Tucker and Bones Hyland rotting on the bench, 1 good pick they can flip and Plumlee coming back from injury soon. If they managed to flip those 3 plus a pick for just a great bench guy that doesn't want or need shots, just a dude that plays hard D rebounds and makes hustle plays. Someone like Gary Payton but bigger as they could use some size. Not sure of a player thats 6'8-6'11 that is just all about D and hustle plays while being able to hit an open shot. If they can find that type of dude out there for those guys I am not sure how you beat this team in a 7 game series assuming everyone stays healthy. Which honestly may be the reason you don't do anything cuz you may need an defensive or offensive player cuz these guys all have injury histories. Someone like Herb jones....Now you aint getting Jones for that but if you can get someone in that model maybe a Finney Smith tho he is a bit small for my liking but I think you get the point.

It's obvious that all James Harden needed was to transition into a better role-player, focusing more on assists. Especially now that he has so much talent around him.
@shaft90006 ай бұрын
It's great because he has the keys to the offense, but hardly ever needs to reach deep into his scoring bag unless he's already feeling that _steez_ brewing. Enables him to focus better on D more often - which is the true path to winning it all, especially as you age. Make it as easy on yourself (most of the time) as possible.

@@tanishque5964 Harden averaged 30 ppg on the Rockets, so yeah he can definitely outscore anyone on the team if he wanted to. But like I said, I think it’s better that he’s focusing less on iso points and relying more on enabling the talent around him.

Maybe, but personally I think a large reason why Harden & Russ are "buying in" is because they're getting old now, getting old makes you realize that you don't have all the time in the world, which is why I think it might've flipped that switch in them to stop fooling around & just focus on what matters, which in their case as NBA players is winning basketball games.

1:25 pretty great recovery by GAllen on that even catching his balance, let alone staying in the play. that said, while there are "more difficult" assignments than kawai, there might be no one more feared. his combination of skill, quickness, length, strength, and discipline are the stuff of nightmares. It's far easier on the body and ego to take on a guy like durant, knowing he can rise up above you, knowing you arent going to take shoulder, elbow, and hip checks, knowing you aren't going to be grabbed and moved around by the biggest and strongest hands in the league. you'll never shut either of these guys down, but with kawai, you can disrupt him. If durant is hot, ain't nothign anyone can do. while the same can't be said for kawai, what can be said, is that in order to disrupt him, you have to play the best defense of your life, make no mistakes, and you'll still get the sht beat out of you "limiting" him to 7-17... ...now that you've exhausted your body and mind guarding him...guess what, now you're on the other end of the floor and he's guarding you. anyone who's played some competitive basketball knows what its like. everyone can remember a dude they played against who wasn't "the best player" on the team, but he'd still kick your ass with an array of old man moves and strength and positioning

But Covid happened, and when they came back PG was worse then a role player and they proceeded to choke against the Nuggets. 2021 Despite not having a legit point guard and ZU not in his prime yet, they make it to the WCF and still take it to 6 games againts the SUNS without KAWHI 2022 Kawhi & PG injured throughout the season, (don't make playoffs) 2023 Finally get a legit point in RUSS but PG gets injured before playoffs, nd Kawhi gets hurt during what would've been a great series against the SUNS 2024 Its all going great, but we'll see if they can fight off the curse that haunted CP3 nd Blake and finally win a Chip

People ride the choke job narrative without questioning, but it was more than that. It was the Kobe ring and it was meant for the Lakers. That season the Clippers were the only thing in the way and the league simply removed them. I urge everyone to watch that nuggets - clippers series with a critical eye, and Ill guarantee you will be astound when you see the rigging that went down. And when the Nuggets faced the Lakers they received the same treatment and then some.
