I’ve had the blue handled drop point Nedfoss in my Amazon cart for awhile just never pull the trigger .

For the money it's of excellent value. As a dedicated survival knife, I'd much rather a full flat or sabre grind.

yeah, 46.99 on their website but 35.99 on Amazon...It's made in China but the website leads one to believe it's USA made. Regardless, it is a great looking knife for a very low price.

Very few things are USA made anymore. For example, I'm making my own line of production fixed blades. 1095 steel, g10 hand scales, awesome designs. Shopping Chinese vs American made is CRAZY! For example my knives WILL be American made, but it would really upset you if you knew how much extra that's going to make my knives cost. As for Nedfoss, I don't know anything about the company but the dude from the Shredder Knife Reviews swears they are lil tanks. I just thought it was a great value with a decent sheath. 🤷‍♂️

@@5MinuteKnives Yes I read fairly good reviews on the Nedfoss knives also. I may pick one up from Amazon just out of curiosity. I know what you mean about USA made as I also make knives. I've made about 15 so far and started with 1084 but now use 8670 steel. I've not sold any nor have I tried to sell them. For what it costs me to make one, which is mostly labor, I'd have to get a much higher price than any Chinese made or mass production made knives. I'm not about to sell my knives where I'm getting about $3-4 per hour for my labor. I'd rather give them to friends and family and just keep the rest. Good luck with your knife making. I'd like to see your designs and would share mine also. If you would like to get in touch by email or cell let me know. I'm 75yr old retired and this is has been a fun hobby for me so far.

i just got two from amazon for $30 each. i recently started camping so i figured id get my son and myself a nifty knife. i dont know anything about knives though but they look well made.

1st, the coldsteel recon tanto is a great feel like a ninja knife around the house. 2nd, I bought their 4" folder and a couple of their smaller " multi tool" pocket knives as gifts and all 3 have been solid, smooth action and well built. I was surprised at the quality for the price point. All of them took a shaving edge and were just solid knives for as low as 20 bucks for a folder. I almost feel like I should buy a bunch because maybe they are only this cheap because they are new.

There were a couple that I thought would fly better for you guys than this one. theshredderknifereviews has the little blue handled bushcrafty one and swears by it. I guess he's had it for a long time and tried to beat it up but it took it. Either way, they were polite and acknowledged we have a real channel so I tried to make the nicest review I could without lying about the steel or the things I didn't like about it. Overall, still worth the fortyish bucks or whatever BUT if you're like us and already have decent stuff, I don't see this appealing to most of you. I was mostly just impressed by the solid sheath tbh...

We're looking into building a chicken coup now but great point! it won't matter who has money or not when there just isn't any grub on the shelves.

Do you think you could make a glass packed Sharpening sheath for the ned frost survival knife.. it would be amazing I love mine but carrying a sharpener gets old for small touch ups

I've heard of these guys but don't know anything about them. It's not a horrible price but I'd never own it because of the steel VS price. Yeah it has kydex but the sheath is only as good as the knife. If you're looking for a nice budget blade, that comes with kydex also and is veteran designed, check out Oerla knives. Good quality, sharp, comfortable blades that hold their own, for < $40 for the most part and most are under $30. Just my .02¢

I get where you’re coming from, but at some point all knives start somewhere. You had to give Oerla a chance. When I started collecting knives, I was just buying the cheaper options on amazon. Most were about what I expected. When I got my Ned Foss folding knife, it went WAY beyond expectations. But know that another channel reviewed a knife like mine and it was a complete train wreck. I’m hoping Ned Foss has some of their QC issues under control. But you can easily look at the reviews of buyers on Amazon. Ppl really like them. Mine has held up nicely in the 18 months I’ve had it, but I’m not batoning firewood with it or anything lol.

This is not the Nedfoss knife i'm looking to buy but, i'll take whatever i can get on Nedfoss knives . I'm looking at the Bushcraft knife with the Blue and black scales it's 420 or 440 steel but, it's right in the area i'm looking at .

I know I’m late to the party but I swear by their knives. You make very fair review BUT I beat the hell out of the 4 different models. Just saying! If your on this channel we should know how to handle a blade.

ok review. would like to see things like edge testing and ease of sharpening, as well as more investigation into its construction. like how well the heat treat is? or take off the scales and show us if its skeletenized.
