Welcome to The Breakfast Table Sessions, a music series where artists showcase their live performances. Enjoy this exclusive in-studio peek at The Neighborhood Orchestra’s dynamic performance. The Neighborhood Orchestra is a power-house ensemble from Los Angeles, CA renowned for their eclectic blend of Afro beat, Latin Jazz, R&B, Tropical, Hip-Hop and Soul. Their performances are a reflection of the vibrant cultural tapestry of LA. The Neighborhood Orchestra hosts a live music residency called The Jazz Dojo every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the Month. A Behind the Scenes Story. As we pulled up to our recordin session at Decibel Studios in Boyle Heights and began unloading, a local homeboy approached us and asked, “Sup foo’, u guys are rockers- or what? Where you foos gonna jam at - or what?” We explained that we were The Neighborhood Orchestra and shared who we were, what we were about, and what we were doing there. Our friend replies “Wuuuut?? Pshhh, let me give you a little shout out then - for when you get all famous!”. lol 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾We gave a handshake, he gave his shout out. This moment of camaraderie with a stranger is the kind of vibe we aspire to create with our music. It asserts that we are all in this together, and everyone is valued, everyone matters. We took all these feelings into the studio for what unfolded as an unforgettable session. The good vibes, the music, the endless pan dulce - it all came alive as we filmed our segment.
The Neighborhood Orchestra features a full ensemble with a horn section & a pocket-tight rhythm section. This session includes their groundbreaking single "A Girl Like You" featuring legendary rapper Murs, alongside new unreleased music.
