It's crazy how my sophomore year I decided to sing "Sweater Weather" for my solo performance in choir at our winter fest and I came upon this cover and thought this girl was sooooo good and I would fall asleep to her voice and I thought she looked so much like my friend Nia. Last year in the summer I heard "Here" and thought it was such a badass song and last night my friend took me to see Alessia at the El Rey Theatre and she performed "Sweater Weather" and I totally tripped out when I realized she was THAT girl, now I'm so much more comfortable at going towards my dreams of being an artist/musician because of this girl. I'm not a huge fan of hers but I can most definitely say she is one of my inspirations now.

Alessia Cara. Simply the most level headed, respectable, responsible, "celebrity" there is. I love the fact that she is a role model for our generation. If i heard someone say " I hope I could be just like alessia Cara one day", I would be exited, because it's the same as saying I hope, I can be a level headed, independent, strong and successful person. I can overcome the pressure of growing up in this hard generation. Hands down Alessia Cara is an inspiration to the uprising artist, the ones who have already made it, and to those who enjoy the music she's created. Thank you!
