C137's major inventing flaw is that he uses sentience for everything he makes. I could go into a huge spiel about what this says about his character, him valuing the free will of everything, even stuff he creates, or how it's likely a desperate tactic to have people in his life to talk to, regardless of what they are or why, or how it might just be him flexing his ability to make intelligent life... But it's prolly just that he's too stupid to understand how unnecessary that is, and he tends to overcomplicate simple solutions, either because he overthinks or is too lazy to upkeep something so he'd rather automate it. (Example: Why the fuck would he make a whole universe and speed it up to get energy just from one civilized planet to power his car when he could have just made a few dyson spheres around some stars and use that energy?) Meanwhile Prime's smart enough to realize that your inventions having full free will is entirely pointless and extremely risky.

Evil Morty explicitly says in the episode this clip is from that part of why he stays outside the curve now is otherwise, he'd have a ton of Summers on his ass for revenge over their dead Ricks and kidnapped/tortured Mortys. You should ask those Summers what makes him really evil.

Just realized, a net would actually be an effective inconvenience since his shield would either keep it up around him or he’d drop it and it nets him. Otherwise he’d have to waste time figuring out a solution to such a contrived and simplistic plan that he never considered.

@@alexrojas7244 the original voice actor was charged with domestic violence (I think) and was under a lot of controversy for a video of him having sex with a baby doll, so Justin Roiland, the original VA of Rick and Morty was replaced with Ian Cardoni for Rick, and Harry Belden for Morty
