This Minecraft but challenge makes the funniest Minecraft videos without any funny Minecraft mods! Somehow this is the NEW funniest Minecraft video / tiktok / short ever! Instead of any other Minecraft challenge in Minecraft 1.16.5, this is a Minecraft video in Minecraft 1.17 in 2021 (almost 2022)!

I didn't recognize it, but as soon as they said "they wanted to add the nether" and my eyes LIT. UP. Pocket edition was my first Minecraft version and it's been a decade since I've played it. This brought back childhood memories like the scene in Ratatouille when Ego tastes the food.

I might be tripping, but I remember something about the Reactor not activating in creative mode. I think that’s what made it so special. I worked so hard to farm all the materials and gold, and when I did, it was amazing to see everything light up and activate.

I remember that after the core was finished generating items, the nether spire would have a bunch of holes in it suddenly. But if you broke the core before it was finished, it would keep it solidified and you could have a nice nether spire house!

I am Happy to say that when I used to play Minecraft on my Ipad Mini AGES ago, there is a Survival World where I managed to make a House out of These Blocks using a Duplicating Glitch at the time and to this day it still sits there being made in full Minecraft Survival with no Commands. (Idk i just thought this was kinda cool)

I completely forgot the crafting recipe, but I do indeed remember the block! I remember playing Pocket Edition with some friends in school a long time ago, where we decided to put down that block and loot the Nether stuff. There were also a few glitches we liked to use when we played, such as this one old duplication glitch where if two players took an item from a chest at the same time, both players would get it, so we would use that to just get unlimited resources. Was pretty fun, miss those times...

I remember using these when I played pocket edition. I was obsessed with these because my favorite block was the used nether reactor core I always tried getting that block but it just dropped a regular core. I also wanted to get the glowing obsidian which is what the cobblestone and gold turned into after they removed the functionality of the nether reactor core I scrambled to find one in one of my chests. I found one and placed it all over my world in case I lost it.

I remember I was exploring my world in creative and stumbled upon a desert village with a naturally spawning nether spire right in the middle of it. Sadly, I lost that village after getting lost in the nether. It was one of my earliest worlds and sparks memories of a happier time in my life.

Quick Note! The Official Bedrock World Edit app allows you to get the Cores again! Also there is glowing obsidian and The Original Stone Cutter! I really hope they don’t remove these from the list of Blocks, it’s nice seeing them come back…

one thing to note is that since back then the worlds were not infinite you could lose items out of pure bad luck, like if your world didnt have cane or cocoa beans you just couldny get them, but thanks to the reactor core these were now completely available no matter the seed

Can't forget that even if I wanted to. I broke one in the process of creating the Nether Spiral bugging the game having the game forever stay in nighttime. When I try to sleep the game would just fast forward back to nighttime and freeze the time there again. That stuff haunted my dreams, I fixed it though by remaking the Nether Reactor in the exact same place

Back then, worlds were limited in size. No infinite worlds. So sometimes you wouldn’t get a desert portion and that was the only way to get Cactus.

for someone who's played this game for almost 11 years, yes the nether reactor was so hard for me to make because I had no idea how to mine back then, but with the help of a friend and a few apps we had fun making a whole city filled with netherack towers, God the good ol days

When I figured out they existed and what they did, not only did I go into creative and spawn like 20 in for fun, but I also built houses out of just the block because I thought they looked cool. XD, I just remembered activating one then leaving and seeing it turned night, and I was always just so mesmerized- XDD

I found my old ipad, and had a world with the block in it. I was trying to rebuild it and accidently swapped the core with cobblestone. And now it’s gone for ever 😔 That world was 6-4 years old, and that block has been in my inventory since then.

My older brother and me used to do challenges like trying to kill all the zombie pigmen before we got out of there. When I showed this to him he barley remembered it. Mojang really should bring this back because it was fun for challenges.

*Fun Fact:* I still have some in one of my Minecraft worlds to this day, and when the texture update came the Nether Reactor Core also had it's texture changed!

It didn't. Pocket Edition 0.15 accidentally swapped the textures for the Nether reactor between the normal textures and the Plastic Texture pack, thus its look being way more flat.

Funny story I guess. As a kid with my first creative world in Pocket Edition, I built a neighborhood with themed houses, and one was themed to blocks from the Nether, that being nether rack, bricks and that reactor core. I put lots of those blocks without knowing what they were for, and because I didn’t know much English I assumed the nether had to do with Netherlands or something and said yep this is a house for my Dutch villagers.

This was my absolute favorite block of all time and I was distraught when it was removed. I had no idea how it worked I just liked how it looked. I haven't seen any recent videos mentioning this and I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it!

I still remember how you do it, you would go underground in a 2 block tall tunnel, then you walk and place a block of diamonds right in front of you and then you quickly press the home button twice and close Minecraft and then reopen it and the block will be placed and you would also still be holding it, I did this one time on accident before I knew about the glitch and then someone at school told me about it and I did it soooo many times that my iPods home button stopped working and I had to use assistive touch to have a fake home button on the screen
