Just picked up a 2023 C63S v8 Final Edition. Lovely car! Can't stand the new MBUX iPad stuff featured in the w206. Feel like these w205's will be classics for a long time. Definitely the sweet spot of tech, drama, and performance.

I bought an amg c63s in Jan 2020, I think it's absolutely worth it and the best car I've driven. I do think the coupe body is the best looking and it's worth paying the extra for the S model, race mode and performance seats are a must.

@avi3062 sorry I just saw your comment. Yes I drove many cats for almost a year before pulling the trigger ony AMG. Test drove cars like the M4, M5, 911, Corvette, NSX, Skyline, Supra, and many more. I already had an M3, 335i, and two S2000's. I still love my C63S but not so much when gas costs as much as $7/ gallon lol

Tethyx - Just wondering how you like your car’s Comfort Mode suspension in terms of body noise level. I have the first year 2017 model C63s. Its suspension is very firm even in Comfort Mode. Not a big deal but it may be the reason the car goes a bit “crazy” with road bumps in terms of body noise. AMG claims they refined the 2020’s Comfort level suspension. The 2017 has overall been a jewel but the warranty ends in October ... $$$$$! 😕

@@MrDjay46 I'm coming from a dodge challenger scat pack so its obviously a massive step-up from that. In comfort mode everything, I think the car is incredibly docile/quiet/smooth. I will say it doesn't feel like an S Class would but I would be willing to bet its a lot better ride than the 2017. The 2017-2018 model is such a crazy visceral experience, And this is too, but I feel this is a little "best of both worlds" type situation.

Hey Riley, Mercedes is a great car company without a doubt. Speaking as a two time Mercedes owner the only complaints I had are the yearly maintenance cost for owning one. And if you're out of warranty with the car, and if anything goes wrong fixing the issue can be expensive. So my advise if you are want one, get a new one or a certified pre-owned one. 2 years unlimited miles can't be beat. Have fun hunting if you decide to buy one.

Next time you start a newer gen AMG pull the upshift paddles and start it at the same time, it will give you more crackles. AMG called that "emotion start"

Lol so? My MHD tuned 335is does that. You can mhd tune an m4 to do it too. You can either delete cold starts or make your car roar to life when you push the start button.

The remote start is strictly for warming up the car and it does cut off once you open the door which is a bit of a bummer. I don’t like how you can’t crack the sunroof open without having to fully recline the sunscreen. Small things but love the car man!!

Just bought a 2020 C63S Coupe and I love it. It was an upgrade from my 2014 C63 Coupe Edition 507 and it was worth every penny!! Great review, keep up the good work. Oh, one thing. The 2020 C63 does not have a dual clutch transmission, it is a 9 speed MCT (Multi Clutch Transmission) which is a wet clutch pack in the place of a torque converter but the rest of the transmission is essentially a traditional automatic transmission.

Do you like this car in the iridium silver? I'm between that and black or white. Feel like black makes it look smaller and somewhat plain whereas the bright colors really show off the lines!

2021 True no more V8 .They announced 4 cylnder turbo with hybrid for C63. Hold on to your V-8 they will be in great demand

Not true at all. The new w206 will have a 4l v8 biturbo with a electric unit to increase horsepower. It will also be 4matic + with drift mode like the current e63s. Stop spreading bullshit

I own a Scat Pack Challenger and a 18' c63s. I choose the AMG over a M4 Competition at the time. I have the sport seats in the AMG and they are a little harsh after a couple hours. I love my AMG and will probably get the 2020 c63s when my lease is up in a few months. It's completely different animal than the Scat Pack.

Great video. Been thinking about a c63 for a few years and with the rumors of a possible 4banger in 2021 I didn't want to chance it. Bought a C63 S Sedan 2 days ago...waiting to pick it up next week. This video makes the wait feel even longer!!! Post if/when you get the renntech work done.

Beautiful car I just sold mines last month and I get the chills every time I see this baby. car is extremely fast but let me tell you if you don't make a lot of money or you don't have the car under warranty stay away. The tires and rims alone will cost you about 500 a tire. I wrecked my car and the dealership gave the bill for a messed up suspension and it was 15k, thank god for insurance 😂 I paid 100 for my deductible to get it fixed.

It’s actually not a dual clutch. It uses a wet clutch instead of a converter. And from there it’s basically a normal automatic inside.

It’s not basically a normal automatic after the said missing torque converter. It’s a multi-clutch transmission. The gear changes are executed solely by the clutches. Completely different. It most resembles transmissions used in motorcycles.

It does on the S class and the E class but the C class has yet to have that upgrade. Probably in the 2021 or 2022 model.

C63s has much more features than C63. C63s coupe not only has 510HP, the suspension is a different and made more for track and have an electronic limited-slip differential. C63 S models also feature dynamic engine mounts; they are softer when cruising to reduce vibration and noise in the cabin, but stiffen up when driving dynamically to better control the weight moving around in the engine compartment. Also you get a few added interior for free where in the C63 you pay extra for. Basically it does have quite the difference.

I am 6'1 and have plenty of headroom. Could very easily seat someone 6'3-6'5. Its a very large interior.

v8 bi turbo and its not up to 500HP?? the CLA 45 is 4 cylinder and produces 400+HP which means this beast is so under utilized. Just wish they wouldnt kill off the v8

Biggest complaint he didn't mention that I have is you cant start the car permanently in any mode but comfort. You can overwrite but it wont save.

Yes, you have to manually change the mode every time which is pretty annoying. Although there are ECU flash that change that.

No idea why mercedes stick with that shifter design for so many years, absolutely hate it. its the same control for BMW (and many other car) wiper controls, and if you touch P by mistake the car really STOPs amid of traffic, happened to me and thats a major safety issue. The only Merc I'm keeping now is a W218 63S AMG which use the old AMG gear selector behind the cupholders. I wonder if Merc ever asked any of its customers do they fav that design at all, or they dont bother, but that's a big reason I choose to stay away from the brand for several purchase considerations.

I take your point but I got used to it really quickly (the shifter ). The 3 other AMGs I owned had the shifter where it should be. Interestingly my w212 e63 only has one stalk which does lights and wipers on the one stalk ! So they didn't make use of the space available on the steering wheel. SMH 😂

No the m2 is very competitive with the c63. The CLA 45 is just a four cylinder more comparable to a Honda Civic Si.

Beautiful car but I'd get the Lexus RCF F over this. Similar horsepower, but naturally aspirated V8, interior isn't as stylized but it's still very good and I personally like the overall styling more and the build quality is the best in it's class. On top of all this you're paying 10K less for the package comparing similar model years and milage.

Twin Turbo V8 is better because it has a lot of torque at a lower RPM compared to naturally aspirated. Also it’s just another $8k and that’s because it has 36 more horsepower because the twin turbos.
