@@TheThinkery I understand why you're doing this with youtube's deranking, however this channel fragmentation idea I don't think is the right solution. And the OG channel becoming stagnant growth wise has IMO much more to do with the fact you release content on it so infrequently than anything else. I think fragmentation will make things worse, and starting a new channel and having growth as a result of all your old subs resubbing won't be conclusive evidence of anything unless they somehow surpass your original channel.

My prediction: If you’re currently “demonetized”, you’re shortly going to lose verification (we’re assuming verification is running on Twitter rules now; where “verified” means “officially endorsed” despite claims to the contrary) and a bit after that you’ll likely then be told “only verified creators can participate in the monetization program”. KZfaq is continuing its slow march towards Internet Television.

Has to be said: the stop-and-go is the equivalent of riding the brakes. If the subject of the stream is a video (e.g. Francesca and the un-browning, etc.), then make that 'required reading' in advance of the stream. Short notice, perhaps, but at least enough time to become familiar with the subject matte. Equalize the audio levels across all participants, figure out how much lag is involved, and establish explicit protocols for turn-taking -- there's so much deferring (not deference) going on that the pace becomes glacial at times. If possible, establish a list of jumping-off points in the subject video (e.g. xx:yy minutes and seconds, identified at your end by keyword, etc.), and use those points. _as links_ , to return to specific places in the subject video. Otherwise, don't stop the video in the background, but partially mute its audio (e.g. to the point where people _could_ follow it, albeit with effort). This won't end up being peripatetic if the partial muting is used. If all participants can control the (re-)captured subject video's playback, so much the better.

your vids on both your YT channels never appear in my 'recommendations' and (rarely) appear in my 'subscriptions' list. If YT didn't keep sending the notifications that there was something new, I wouldn't know that there *was* anything new, but sometimes I don't get the notifications either. Hope the new channel goes well.

I highly recommend The Fourth Age. He had an understanding of progressivism and narrative that you'd swear he was in the illuminati when it was decided that the world would go there.
