Reminds me of the Godin Kingpin hollow-body with a single P90 in the neck. Made in Canada too.

As someone who works at a "fancy guitar store" I see something like this and think....... "Shit well I guess there's yet another brand I need to own...." well done!

That joy you're feeling, is the joy we all used to feel before CNC machining and the internet. I could go to my local store and pull off the wall anything from Microfrets to a Black Widow. Put them back and grab a Rickenbacker, Mosrite, Danelectros, even the rare Vivitone. And countless others... But each model from each manufacturer has to be played differently. You had to really play to that instrument. I'm excited for you and Texas Toast!!! Keep it up, both of you. Edit: I'm getting mega 125t vibes from this. And a few others...

Holy guacamole, thats is a beautiful guitar. Texas Toast has really out done themselves with this stunner. I love the matte/satin finish over metallic black. I love the decision to use a Dylan Enduro in the neck position where the strings vibrate the most. And I love that you opted for traditional F holes with a Bigsby. So classy. I am envious and inspired. What a great guitar to celebrate hitting 100K subs. Congrats!

I get it, you didn't realize this exact guitar was extremely popular from the early 1900's peaked in popularity between the 30's and the 60's but in the 70's the hollow body didn't work really well with the new high gain rock and roll sounds, But they have been getting more popular in the last 20 years, but maybe you didn't realize it, hence Epiphone, Gretch, Grote, The Loar all releasing this nearly identical guitar. That said, glad Texas Toast is dipping their toe into this market.

Really so good to hear you talking about this unique instrument .... I love the fact it has one pickup - and that' it's a neck pickup .... It is what I use most, no matter what kind of guitar I play ... I never really liked bridge pickups ... they are too "flat-sounding" the way I hear it ... and I have played guitar since Bob Dylan wrote "Blowing in the Wind"

That's nice Dylan! That neck pick up you put in it is VERY bright for the neck position! A cut away on the bottom would be nice on it too! Rockin'! \m/

I am a huge bass/neck humbucker user, and the single pickup at the neck is a huge draw. I am also a big fan of Bigsby's. That said, The Bigsby on that guitar is highly problematic. First, a roller bridge should be mandatory. Second, the sharp angle from the bridge to the tail-piece assembly is putting undue excessive detrimental stress on the strings (if you take a string out, you will see that the string is permanently bent). There is a corrected tail-piece assembly that you can buy, separately, and install. Highly recommend that they do the Bigsby right if they want to make that a purchasable option.
@DylanTalksTone
@DylanTalksTone Ай бұрын
So…. Breaking this down, I have owned and installed dozens of Bigsbys. There is no need for a roller bridge. I actually dislike them very much. I requested this bridge as a result. Second, what you can’t see, is the corrected mounting points on this guitar to allow the break angle at the bridge to be correct. This guitar is set up perfectly for my liking, and as a person who is VERY familiar with Bigsby setups, I can tell you that whatever impressions you can see from the video are incorrect in person.

That guitar is so sick. I’m still paying off my J-45 and Les Paul Junior or else I’d beg my wife for it lol. We’ll see what happens in the future. I’m really digging both the bugs by and trapeze versions. Super sweet guitar. Well done!👌🏽

Wow really a cool addition to the guitar universe…. Love the matte black, block inlays, bigsby, made in America, and the one pickup Construction sounds similar to Grez guitars (another one on the wish list). One piece neck with a no slant on the headstock, lots of cool stuff. what are cryogenicly treated frets?

@Dylan, what exactly made you choose a Bigsby for this project? Is it just for the overall tuxedo style or your just wanted to try it out? Also, you advise on how to find the best spots to install a set of P90 on a sg style guitar that has humbucker routings?

First thing I thought was Mark Farner’s Musicraft Messenger! That green guitar he played in grand funk! Ha! They look very different but both are closely shaped and hollow bodies. Unique for sure. Great sound on this one! Want to hear it with ALL the gain turned up!

This guitar is oozing coolness and quality. But I’m sorry, a guitar that is made by a company that 95% (or more) of the guitar players in the world have never heard of, is never going to be an icon (except for the name). It doesn’t matter how fantastic it is (and I’m sure it is). Unless a person watches this channel on a regular basis, Texas Toast is just another name for bread that’s been cut too thick.

No, it can't be an icon. Yes, it's derivative, but it looks nice. A kind of US Little Sister without the cutaway, But it has a Bigsby. Sorry, Dylan, I don't care that I haven't played it. It gives me the shivers... Now, without a Bigsby, I would consider. Even if it looks like the frets above the 15th are largely redundant.
