this thing is the coolest shoulder pet ever!

so theres a few things he didnt show, so ima just post everything i know of this little creature(default controls for PC): jump: active flight(in this video) C: enters glide mode(in this video) X: enters a parachute mode(not in this video) R: with the backpack(Sinomacrops) on your back a menu will pop up, which will allow you to access the inventory and will show the scream options(not in this video) fun fact: if your in water, you can fly out of water just fine(not in this video) and when on your back and you have it "attack my target" the little guy will bite thigns that you are fighting if they are close enough

They also reduce the weight of items in their inventory by 50%

You can use the chitin armor to your advantage when taming one. after feeding , put a piece of chitin armor on to have it come back, as long as you don't attack it, id doesn't lose taming effectiveness. And the best thing about them: *_YOU CAN FINALLY WORK ON YOUR FASHION AND STILL BE ABLE TO FLY/GLIDE!!!_*

so its like the archaeopteryx but better in every conceivable way lol nice....gonna miss that goofy gliding animation with the bird over your head the archaeopteryx has....

I would have never known about the chitin armour thing, I can't even remember the last time I wore that garbage armour :P

The Sinomacrops should also function as a backpack if I remember correctly, reducing weight and you can access it even in flight. Also it should have a parachute mode and the scream ability deals a large amount of extra damage to small insects, making the big Ants and Meganeuras a breeze.

it can accelerate you while swimming by "flying" in water, you can toggle between griffin like dive based gliding and more of a stable long distance soaring by "sprinting" they half the weight of almost anything in their inventory which you can access mid glide if you want and the do ridiculous damage to all insects plus you can amor them the only real nitpic i could find is that you can´t eat while flying but demanding that would just be greedy ps; i have ps4 so try your hotkeys cause especially pc controls differ

Why did you not explain the most important part of taming this creature? Specifically, not to chase it, sprint, or jump. Not to wear ghillie armor as it will not be able to track you and come back for a feed from greater distances.

I think the Archaeopteryx needs to be buffed. I really don't like it when certain creatures are neglected even though they have so much potential to them.

You can attract it easier by wearing full Chitin......it won't become enraged and totally attempt to eat your face or anything.....scouts honor :P
