The 2025 BMW 1 Series is here with the chassis now known as the 'F70'.
A big change is that it has removed the 'i' from it's name as the "I" will be used exclusively on the electric range.

Got a great deal on a new F40 one series which I’m collecting this week. Knew the F70 was on the horizon so had some nervousness getting a last gen model… but I’m glad I did. F70 looks like a mk3 Ford Focus from the side profile and I prefer the busier cockpit of the F40.

Yes my first thought with side angle is it's a focus st line. Unfortunately all hatches now look like eachother...A class, 1 series, focus

As for looks I like this better than the previous. 2 vehicles I've ever said *no* to. Pontiac Aztec and that Tesla truck thing. This car is getting ripped apart but I've never thought of it as _a looker_ . To me it's fine. For car people, it's an almost blank canvas to get to work.

Weirdly enough, I've just done a deal for an M135i F40 today and I'm glad I didn't wait for the new M135. The F40 looks far nicer. The F70, especially that grille and headlights just doesn't do anything for me. Looks awful 😖

People mocked the big grille of the old car. Now they’ve reduced its size we realise that they were right first time 🤦‍♂️

Yes Tim. Bmw design team bringing out so much nowadays. I mean there’s the massive school radiator grills. Body kits, splitters, wings, arches, it’s all gets too fussy, boisterous looking. Over dressed up with nowhere to draw the line. But they always sell well. It’ll grow on us overtime!

Hi, agree with everything you say For me F40 just right. The face lift changes for me have made it look more boy racer. And to drop 8 speed and fit 7 speed Then say less torque 0-60 slower :( Thank you
