The devil/angel switch based on which direction you’re looking at. The devil will always be in front of you and will switch if you turn. The fire pillar turns into a harmless water pillar if you look away from it. Also, only the devil’s projectile’s will damage you, but the angel’s projectiles will turn into the demon’s if they switch positions

For the The King's leap, *the bosses correspond to the chess pieces at each one* For example, 2:01, since it's a knight, you'll fight the horse like knight and 4:16, you fight a castle-looking executioner

2:50 for those who haven´t played the DLC yet. The stupid H0NSE requires 20 head parrys to defeat. The fight is easy but man is it tedious to wait till he´s exhausted

Getting the Divine Relic is definitely worth it, also I should point out that the Cursed Relic switches up your weapons and charms, so make sure to parry during bosses because you might gain HP from one of the charms currently active.

Hey Bijuu, you actually DON'T have to beat all the bosses with 1 hp. If you use the Game Djimmi secret, it'll give you 2 HP. Plus, when you use the Cursed Relic, it'll give you the charm where you get HP from Parrying.

The achievement, "A horrible night to have a curse", seems like a reference to what Simon Belmont says at nightfall in Castlevania 2; Simon's Quest

It's such a shame that unused Card boss, Pachi-Pachi, and Jelly the Octopus aren't in it... But at least the Light boss's mechanic, and the design for the Flying Gentleman (The Spider Boss), are implemented in that boss that has the fake knockout in the DLC!!

The way the devils skeleton holds the platform like that may be a reference to the old start animation after he rips off his skin and falls down the hole

You can unlock a golden chalice filter by beating every boss in the game + dlc bosses using Ms.Chalice. The cactus lady near the cow boss says about evil vegetables, hinting at the boss rootpack. If you beat the rootpack she will hint at the next boss. I might be wrong in some details but people have made videos about this.

I knew you had to be back for more Cuphead DLC, Bijuu Mike but this time it's the secrets to see what they are and it's really stellar ever made man

The secret level had two references. The first and most important reference (and one that probably sailed over a lot of folks' heads, as I believe most people stop saying it when they get older and more cynical) is the old English Nursery rhyme of 'Star Light, Star Bright,' from the end taunt lines when you fail being 'Wish [ you ] May and Wish [ you ] Might' which then threateningly replaces the original and poignant line of 'Have the wish I wish tonight,' with the more ominous 'Your Soul is Now Trapped in the Night.' This, coupled with the fact that it uses the _actual_ physical model of the Devil's Skeleton in the background (which the use of physical live action models in animated movies was common in the '30's and 40's to show off their cinematographical tech-wizardry, being used as the opening for 'Popeye the Sailor meets Sinbad the Sailor,' 'Poor Cinderella' and 'Little Dutch Mill,' among others) adds a creepy, somber, and... well, nightmarish, quality to the battle. Did it _really_ happen? It isn't much of a secret that the entirety of Cuphead's animation was inspired by the Golden Age of Animation, primarily the Fleischer Bros who made Betty Boop and Popeye; but also, Walt Disney's Adaptation of Pinocchio (plus, the disturbing close-up most players receive of Saltbaker during the second phase of his fight bears an uncanny resemblance to the haunting image of the Coachman's maliciously-grinning and laughing face, the guy who brought small children to Pleasure Island so they could 'make Asses of themselves' and be sold off as free slave labor to work in the mines, a face that was _also_ mimicked in the King Dice battle, when he's sending his cards after you and chuckling evilly).

MIKE! If you beat every non DLC boss in the game with Ms. Chalice and then talk to the cactus lady on the DLC island you can get a special filter in which it turns Ms. Chalice gold.

Mike. In the castle level you are fighting chess pieces. The 1st fight were pawns, 2nd was the Knight, 3rd was the Bishop, 4th were the Castle walls, 5th is the Queen, and the person who was giving you coins was the King. All of these battles were you fighting pieces from Chess.

The boss fight is the devil after you defeat the first face cuz he turns into the skeleton and turns into the red version of him and that's what it's representing they're in that Astro Point area where the devil is and the bigger person is trying to bring him back with it and do something

There is a secret where you need to play Botanic Panic! in normal mode. When you are done with the potato and the onion comes DON'T SHOOT THE ONION just let it be and you get kinda like a secret ending. (Sorry for my bad english) Anyway, keep up the good work!!!♡

You PWN'd the Pawns; you had a fight with a Knight; tried not to slip-up with the Bishop; took on a Rook; and cleaned the Queen's clock 'Free o' Charge (FOC).' Why I made them rhyme like that, I dunno. I was just feeling like having fun with it. :-)

If you play in Co-op and Cuphead and Mugman have the Astral Cookie Charm, the player who's gonna play as Mrs. Chalice is chosen randomly, per exemple, if Cuphead is the one who the computer choses to be Mrs. Chalice, Mugman will show a secret animation, he will try to eat a cookie but the plane grabs it off his hand and eat it. It can also work in reverse

Veggies in first island , have a secret boss , don't attack the onion , he only attacks in self defense so if you don't attack him he will bring out his beat root friend , Genie level turn small when he is "scanning" you , and in the theater boss on third island , first phase has some cherubs or angles , if you stand on both it will activate the secret boss

As for the second reference: it's Castlevania, specifically Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, with its narmy and often memed line of 'What a Terrible Night to Have a Curse!" As I think Arin of Game Grumps best summed it up: "When is it ever a _GOOD_ night to have a curse?!"

Secret phase: in Sally stage plays 1st phase if you jump on both angel platforms and stay on long enough they make the chandelier unsteady and then it falls on the husband and ends the first phase. And I'll let you find out the rest for yourself . Also if you don't hurt onion boi in the root pack then he won't attack and the phase ends and beetroot boi comes out in the third phase
