RIP TWA: My dad was a pilot for them since 1990, was about to become a 757/767 International Captain, but then, AA bought us, and destroyed his career. He was furloughed, and his now a JetBlue A320 F/O.... =[

The "New Delta" comes at a steep price both Pay and benefits wise. However Richard Anderson will do quite well with his $600,000 yearly salary and an opportunity to make even more money.

That's true, I loved those two, though I don't find anything wrong with the Delta Northwest Merger.

Frontier has had five consecutive months of operating profit, they will probably be able to make it out of bankruptcy. United is still on the brink but everyone benefitted when fuel prices dropped.

Tell me about it. The whole TW/AA buyout was totally ridiculous for all the TW employees, but I have to say the America West/US merger was a bit better for... well... everyone. This new DL theme is... well... one of many. They've had four rebrandings in ten years. I remember seeing the old widget next to the red stripe and the aeroflotskij logo and that was just in BOS. If anything, Delta's wasted a lot of money reprinting their AOMs (All of them) and aircraft, and replacing signs.

get over youself - fact is that if there was no "new delta" then we all be screwed when flying, traveling and economics (ATL and NYC).

@Aircanadafreak99 Was the Frequent Flyer Card that got destroyed a North West Airline Card? If it is, I'm sorry, those programs are offered as a perk for the customer, at times of mergers, consolidation even Chapter 11 reorganization is logical to omit them! Delta is a great company, they respect their customers and their workforce, that's more that I can say of others like American Airlines, look what they did to TWA!
