If you look up rechargeable batteries then you can find some rechargeable 9v for like 30 bucks I just got the ERA and im doing anything in my power to defend it lol the only thing I cant defend is the tool thing :3

Rechargeable Li-Ion 9v batteries exist. Rechargeable via USB-C to boot.

You're right it's not cheap but also golf isn't cheap and look how well that sport does. I don't believe it's the barrier for entry holding us back

And the younger demographic (not dissing those of us no longer in our teens or early twenties 😂) has less disposable income overall. Meanwhile golf has a much higher average age where at the very least you are in a higher earning bracket. Plus ain't no way anyone but the rich sees golf other than a rich people's sport

@@MattTheGymRat But the reason it also does well is that it’s existed for centuries and has some of the biggest companies sponsoring the events. Paintball doesn’t have that and so the only thing funding it rn is us

Used market is HUGE and way more affordable. I never buy a new gun, just ensure its been taken care off. You can get a solid set up for $500 that’s the cost of a PS5 lol

Paintball will be getting cheaper soon, most fields will be switching to .50cal to introduce most people into the sport. The issue with that is new players really don’t get to see the adrenaline rush paintball really gives with .68cal.

Legit only noticed because I used my cs3 right after and shot them side by side. Made it feel much more responsive, sold it off as the grip is still too small for my liking. Felt a tad smoother than my cs3 but overall ergos no comparison.

They are termed mid range because compared to the spectrum of paintball guns. They fall between the $500 and $1500 guns which makes them mid range.

Yeah not the most affordable. They are getting closer to high end marker prices.

That's what people tend to think. You can get an Etha 3 or EMEK or MINI GS for less than half the price and still have something great.

That's because these aren't mid range guns lol. The logic here is that since it doesn't cost the same as Luxe it must be "mid range". Etha and the Mini are like the only true mid range guns left in the market.

If you like the AMP i feel like the ERA is a better shooting version of it. If your ever want to upgrade and want more refined feel I'd recommend the ERA.

Youre right that we are slowly refining the paintball experience to be the best possible. All markers now days are decent and useful in many situations.

I'd probably pick the Luxe out of those 3 but I am a fan of the DSR but this new ERA gives the DSR a run for its money. Defintly the budget version of a luxe.

Its a mid range marker so i would say its fair for the price and features.

Nothing aside from the bolt is toolless. Other markers like the 180r, dsr+, 170r, etc have those features. Even the private label hk amp has toolless eyes. All the markers in this price have good shot quality, paint handling etc. You are getting less for the same price with the amp, thats why its a big no for me🤷‍♂️

@@MattTheGymRat Yeah, but that's why I make the arguments for players not really needing them. Aside from Xball tournaments or speedball tournaments, do you REALLY need all that extra firepower and features? Not really? Its just a tool to have and use.

Just like inflation in prices, paintball is on a pretty fast rise it seems. I stopped playing in 2015/2016 and just came back last year. It did a complete 180 somewhere between 16' and 23' becasue Paintball looked like it was failing in those mid 2010s

Looks better is about it... I've used both and I would take the ERA any day over the AMP
